Please discuss the Anniversary BTB playlist here.

Geat maps, average gameplay. Just one fix needs to be jump height, I can’t even clear a ghost like in normal Reach BTB. I have only played 10 games maybe but overall enjoy the playlist and new maps. Nice work.

My favorite playlist by far. I love playing 8 vs 8 on the new maps. Most fun I have had on Halo Reach and since Halo 2. 343 should be really proud, this is a big accomplishment and a return to form in the series.

The Designated Marksman Rifle.

How one small weapon can utterly kill the feeling for me. When I played on Ridgeline, High Noon and Breakneck, I wanted to fully embrace the memories that I had back then. The DMR always kill this feeling for me.

Whether I am trying to pick up a Needler and I’m being gunned down by 5 People by the other side of the High Noon Base or whether I grab a Warthog to help assist my team-mates with objective only to be shot constantly and lose my grip thanks to the constant DMR Rounds that are being fired at my position.

For maps like High Noon and Ridgeline that are vastly open spaces in terms of the mis-en-scene of the Players, The DMR will dominate the Weapons Sandbox for its Anti-Vehicle Rounds and its Single-Shot Accuracy (Regardless of the Bloom that it has)

My Suggestion? Remove the DMR from the spawning loadouts. Replace it with the Magnum or don’t include a secondary weapon at all. The DMR is a weapon that in vast numbers can nullify the effects and the intents of all other players and Weapons and Vehicles. I want to see some crazy action such as Warthog’s getting blown up by Aerial Rockets and Snipers eventually dieing in a pool of plasma from a Plasma Rifle or Pistol. Is this possible anymore?

Not when everybody has the urge to simply crouch in tight corners and fire from a distance its not. Keep everyone with Assault Rifle Spawns. Those who want the DMR should have to traverse across the Weapon Spawns to attain the weapons.

I agree! Great work 343!

And the DMR domination brings back memories of the BR hahahah.

Haha thanks D3AD1TE, 343 we love you! King Sangos, your post is very well thought out, I do like your suggestion about AR spawning. That does sound very interesting. However right now, enjoy the crazy BR matches, there hilarious, no corner or rock is safe.

I would prefer if cowardice and long-distance combat would not affect my goal. To decimate the maps and let the rivers flow red and pink.

The Needler and The Needle Rifle shall reign supreme…

The ‘‘classic’’ gametypes are the best in my opinion.

Played Anniversary slayer on Headlong. Loved every second of it, despite losing quite badly.

Vehicles are actually a force to reckoned with again. Meaning, they live for more than one minute and can actually kill more than 2 people without being completely wrecked.

I have played a couple games in this list and two things jumped out right away. 1 was how much DMR control these new open maps, which should be expected. 2. in classic games vehicles (namely the Banshee) are way OP. Headlong does not have sufficient weapons to take down a banshee and without AAs players are pretty defenseless. Played a game where 3 ppl on the other team had 10+ kills with the banshee, one put up about 30 and ran the banshee for at least 5 straight minutes

Koric Drent, I used the sniper rifle to take down a banshee, it worked really well on Headlong, almost no kills were got from it that entire game. Other tactic is to stay inside, then when it’s not looking BR it until it explodes then run for cover again.

Alot of fun, though I’ve seen abit too much of Anni. Timberland but that’s just the luck of the draw :stuck_out_tongue:

In the Anniversary BTB (Or should I say all of Reach) the DMR is WAY too powerful. It definally needs a ROF decrease along with the NR proportionally across ALL playlists.

Posting a weird thing that happened to me - Played Assault on Ridgeline and the bomb’s starting positions were swapped… Red team’s bomb was at Blue base and Blue’s was at Red’s. Am I the only one this happened to?

love the macthmaking hate the game types plz remove ann.slayer BTB from BTB and put it in its own playlist give use an option on what we want to play 5 playlist are not enough

Please remove the DMR starts from the Anniversary Gametypes. It ruins the classic feeling. With the Magnum acting as the mid-range weapon, you would feel more comfortable traversing the map. It really hurts the theme of classic. Magnum, or Magnum/AR starts, please.

Also, universally in anniversary gametypes, the jump height does need an increase. At least 110%.

Put in Hemorrhage.

Im not going to get this game unless there is at least 1 playlist with no bloom and BTB has pistol spawns

Anni. Headlong usually results in red team getting decimated by the gauss hog, particularly when the driver hangs back as opposed to doing circles around red teams tower where it’s easy to be stuck. Things go from bad to worse if blue team steals the banshee…

Remove all Gametypes that include AAs. Remove the Banshee from Breakneck. kthxbye

The maps are great, but I feel like we’re down to using only three different vehicles in BTB (warthog, banshee, ghost). Where’s the Falcon, or the Revenant? I realize that they weren’t in earlier Halo titles, but I wish that you could play a Ridgeline game with four falcons.
