Have seen a lot of discussion around playlist and why some are not available. I myself miss doubles, snipers, swat…all the OG playlist. Does anyone know the true reasoning behind why they aren’t available and why 343 is having a hard time adding them to the game? What is the true reasoning behind not splitting slayer and obj playlist? I keep seeing them say they are “gathering data” but what does that even mean? Saw another post saying if they split slayer and obj than obj would become toxic or something. Please someone make it make sense to me lol.
They aren’t separate playlists right now because if they were, the objective type playlists would played such a small amount that there would be almost no point in keeping it around. That stuff costs money to run, and they probably don’t want to have that money going to something so unimportant to the players.
So did it not cost a lot of money in the past to have that many playlist available? Is that what has changed?

It’s egregious how much they make you play the bs objective games. I wouldn’t have an issue, but ctf 4x in a row, to oddball X2, then slayer once followed by strong hold. I’ve been playing since 7am today it’s 1:05pm now and I’ve played slayer twice. I’m really considering dropping this game until they do something about this “random” playlist.
Yea been reading through a lot of the mess. I got pretty lucky with my challenges this week was able to complete them through the week only playing 1/2 hours a day max. The one I struggled with most was kill 3 enemies with fusion coil lol had to play btb and hope to get Fragmentation (Not sure if other maps spawn them I don’t play enough to know also haven’t researched it). Played a couple hours late Saturday night just to complete this one challenge. Was able to skip the capture 10 flags after spending most the week not able to get a CTF game let only be able to capture 10 flags.
I know that has nothing to do with your point but would just make sense to split the play list. Back in the day I enjoyed playing both Slayer and Obj. Yea I spent most my time in slayer but still enjoyed jumping in obj from time to time. If they are going to continue to have obj based challenges then I dont see what the harm would be to have a separate playlist. You could also bring back the old vote system where you can vote for the map and game mode you want to play in the lobby ahead of time. But I guess that would cost to much money to develop.
