I feel that the way the content of the playlists is currently set up could use some work. In a playlist like team slayer there really isn’t much you can complain about seeing as it’s all pretty much the same, but that’s not the case in something like the invasion playlist. Normaly when you choose the invasion playlist you want to play invasion right? Now I know there are some people who like the slayer and skirmish varients of that and I have to say I’m not a fan of the slayer varient, but I feel these gametypes are just a little too different to put in the same playlist. I feel like the skirmish gametype actually belongs in the slayer playlist, and the invasion slayer varient should be put in one of the objective playlists. When you select a playlist it’s because you want that kind of match, and with something like team slayer there’s no gametypes in it that stray vastly from the base slayer gametype. With invasion there really shouldn’t be any other gametypes involved because then it’s more like it’s being lumped in with a half slayer oriented playlist and that’s not what I want when I pick invasion. There’s certain gametypes that can be put together because they are all reletively similar, but invasion can really only be by itself. If you want gameplay that can vary that much in one playlist than pick one of the objective playlists where it’s different each time. In those playlists you are acknowleging that you are ok with basically any time of game, where as in the invasion playlist you want an invasion gametype. Invasion slayer is more of an objective slayer game. So seeing as that is more of the base gametype for it, it doesn’t belong in the invasion playlist. Stuff like this becomes a problem when you really wanted to play invasion but the other half of the lobby decides that they want a slayer type game. You’re not really being paired with the right people in that case. Personaly I think there should even be seperate playlists for gametypes like stockpile, assault, ect. Thoughts anyone?
