So, I don’t know if this is the same for everyone or if it is just me, but I feel like talking a little about playing War Games when you are all alone. I usually play this game on my own, without a party, mostly because the people I do party up with don’t get on until after midnight. Why is it that when you play alone you are always the filler person for someone who has quit a game already in progress? I don’t mind it every once in a while but when it happens 90% of the time I play by myself, it gets a little tiresome. I like to be able to vote on the games we play too 343!! I don’t like always being the person that takes a quitters spot in a game, you guys really think it’s fun to get thrown in the middle of a game, onto the losing team, when the score is like 60 kills to 15? Like I said, I don’t mind it every once in a while but even this stuff out guys and start letting me start at the beginning of a game more often!

If you stand on your head jump rope and bark 5 times before you hit the search button you will always get a fresh game. This is the only 100% proven way to avoid JiP.

Yep. It’s too bad hardly any of my friends play Halo anymore. I’m always given crappy teammates while I’m matched against players in a party.

I refuse to ply alone on MM. And yes, it’s frustrating, especially when your teammates are kids!!!
I also play alone often.
But not because there’s no friends on Halo 4 to play with, but because they like playing playlists like SWAT or Big Team all the time.
Those are good and all, but get a little stale after awhile.
I prefer to play Team Infinity Slayer, Team Snipers, and sometimes Team Objective.
Recently, I’ve been playing more Team Throwdown; however, CTF on Simplex is getting old.
I don’t see why they implement a feature to match lone players with other lone players or “small” parties. I believe this system was implemented in Reach, but I felt it wasn’t very effective because on many occasions I was matched against a full party of inheritors…
I’m based in Europe & all my Halo friends are in the states so unless I do an all nighter I tend to go lone wolf myself.
Tho tbh I do not like playing in parties in BTB, maybe with 1 or 2 in a party but when you have a big party then its to much noise as everyone talks all at once & get louder & louder trying to talk over each other, I end up muting most haha
I hate JiP & if I catch it I will also do the network trick to aviod joining the game.

Arena in Reach was supposed to match you only with solo players and teams of two if you entered solo or with a team of two but people used the 2’s trick to get around it and illegitimately play as a team of four matching singles and teams of two for easy wins.
I never play Halo 4 alone because I often join US hosted games in progress that are unwinnable due to lag and score deficit when I do so.
I hardly ever get JIP and I pretty much Solo EVERY game I ever play.
When it comes down to things like this it’s entirely based on what the player sees. Some will experience it some will not.
If someone quit and the game now needs a single player to JiP, and you are a single player… Well, it’s logical.
I also play alone almost all the time, and sometimes I get JiP’d almost every single time I start a new search. So, don’t start a new one. Stay with the people you just finished the previous game with, and you’re fine.
It can also be quite annoying when your party of three gets split into different teams due to JIP. Happens rarely, but even saying that its too often.
I actually commend people for playing this game alone and through the annoyances.
Back out of the JIP games by switching your xbox to local and then back to live - takes about 4 seconds until you are looking for another game. Gets irritating having to do it so much but I hate JIP.

It gets real annoying, especially when you have to keep using the network trick because the game keeps trying to JiP you into the same lobby over and over.
Searching alone should always be possible but never be encouraged. At least until the matchmaking system changes to only match teams with teams and only Randoms with Randoms. Till then, joining a team needs to be encouraged and searching alone on a team gametype to be a action done only by those who don’t care.
I don’t mind it. I play team scoring a lot on my own and do reasonable. Mind you I have avoided a lot of the clans who stomp you into the ground and send you clan invites afterwards lol.
If I’m alone playing MM, I don’t play a like a lone wolf and I try to be unselfish and communicate with the other players (If they have mics). This way players tend to stay in the party at the end of the match an you can get a good run of games where you’re not thrown into JIP games.

Joining as a team, lol. That requires the game to be good so your friends play it. lol. I just don’t have any other game and Im waiting until I see the new Xbox and PS4 prices, etc.
