Ok, recently started to play Halo 4 again. I have all DLC but every game I play on the play list (except champions bundle) is playing all the original maps. The reason I stopped was the same maps was getting played. There is no variety!
Granted not everyone has the DLC, but please have a play list with just DLC!!!
I’m already bored again after a few days played…

Isolation
Construct
Narrows
Guardian
Snowbound
High Ground
Epitah
The Pit
(cold storage 4 free)
Halo 4:
Solace
Haven
Adrift
Abandon
(Simplex)
(Dispatch)

This maps are for 4vs4 settings. (I didnt count Big Team cause I never play it)
I think I dont really have to say much about that but Halo 3 had a lot more maps that everyone has, and I was playing a lot of DLC maps all the time. (They where given out the Heroic DLC for free after a while if Im right?)
I didnt count the community made maps. So you only have 4 maps to play in Halo 4 without DLC and if you maybe dont like 2 of them you gonna have a boring time. I love Haven, its a masterpiece, but I play it too much.

Champions bundle?
I have all the DLC, including the Champions Bundle! I have played the CB play list.
But other game types have no new maps or DLC to choose from. Its a bit wrong!!
They should do what Bungie used to do with Halo 2. Release DLC for a cost, after 4 to 6 months make that DLC free to everyone.
ButI would take it a step further. Have any Free DLC as a forced download like a title update. Then it would be guaranteed that everyone will have the DLC, there will be more variety and more happy people 
I have all the DLC s well and would like to play those maps abit more often.

You are correct sir, not enough map variety. Halo 3 was great for map variety, I like BTB as well so I could add Rats Nest to that list.
I feel like I have been ripped off, I love this game and my only real complaint I have is that I can’t get games on the DLC that I paid for. I had the same problem in Reach even when there was a DLC playlist and only 46 people in invasion.
I couldn’t care less if they gave all the maps out free tomorrow, at least then I would get to use them.

So what happens? Game begins and 3 more people leave, my team wins by default since it’s 4 vs 0…thus I don’t get to play on a different map…because apparently those 4 people want to play on haven…LOL how are people not SICK AND TIRED OF HAVEN???

Everyone on the forums complain about this and that being broken, gimmicks ruining competitive play. But the real problem and reason people leave is they get bored with the game, and I think this has a lot to do with map variety.
BSAngel told me they are going to add some new maps into the playlists soon on Twitter. If anyone wants a link just ask.

I swear I’m the only person that gets new maps in normal playlists. Got a 4v4 game on Harvest the other day. Granted I ended up quitting due to being dumped into a game where my entire team was AFK. They don’t come up as much as I’d like them to but that what happens with a population of 20k where hardly any of them bought the map packs.

I get dlc maps a lot to.

You can increase the chance of getting DLC maps by prefering players!

you have ask for more forge maps.
and not for dlc maps.
its the dlc maps thats more problem then more forge maps from forge island.
maybe you can ask BSAngel on twitter if she knows about the dlc problems in matchmaking.

I really want to play on Landfall and Wreckage but have only had the chance to play DLC maps on those temporary DLC playlists.
Completely devalued the limited edition for me, heck it devalues getting the war games pass in the first place.
Another area where 343 have manage to screw up.
I believe if they had reacted to weapon tuning faster (7 months jesus christ) and added a DLC only playlist they would have kept so many players. Even in spite of every other thing Halo 4 lacks.

You need to open a players Xbox Profile when playing a DLC map and prefer those players, this will let you run more often in that player and those sort of player with that DLC
and how you wane know if a player has a dlc map when you are playing on standard maps each time in matchmaking?
This is the very reason i’m not buying the champions bundle as i have all the previous DLC and NEVER get a single map up other than the original 4 with the occasional forge map thrown in once in a while!!
