Challenges are still garbage. Fix them and remove any and all that handicap players or force them to play in sub par manners. I haven’t played with my friends for months because of this system.
You have to scroll down and queue up for Team Slayer itself.
Quickplay gives you random small-team modes, and though Team Slayer is one of them; the challenge system recognizes you as being in the Quick Play playlist and not the Team Slayer playlist.
You got challenges that say “quickplay playlist” and ones that say “team slayer playlist.” The big cahoona holding your -Yoink!- back is reading skill bro.
this dude “chalenges should not handicap me” dude they are called challenges. I swear the people on these forums are duckin dumb as hell.
I’m not a big fan of the team slayer playlist challenges either. So many of the challenges require slayer modes. I’d like to just que up quick play all night if I could.
No it’s not, it’s called “Slayer” and not “Team Slayer”. That’s also why it doesn’t count, because it’s officially a different gamemode (even though it’s exactly the same except for the name and where you find it)
Probably because computers are smart idiots that do EXACTLY what you tell them to do.
So just because you were on teams and played Slayer in Quick Play, the dumb machine won’t count it towards your challenge because it technically was Slayer in Quick Play and not Team Slayer in Team Slayer.
As a result, a human error led to a program that works; but it cannot distinguish the difference unless you tell it specifically what the difference is.
Easy solution!
Remove (Team) Slayer from Quick Playlist because it already has its own dedicated mode! ![]()
But, playing team slayer will count towards quick play challenges… kinda off a bit I think lol.
which is lame. a challenge should be just checking for the gametype so people aren’t having to shuffle to inflate a given playlist
So long as you’re playing team slayer it really shouldn’t matter if you played that mode via quick play or slayer playlist but unfortunately it does.
Yeah just remove the slayer gametype from quickplay and name it objective playlist. You will still sell enough challenge swaps.
The gamemode has to be named “team slayer” not have slayer in the name. The gamemode in Quick Play is called “Slayer”, without the team in front of it. So it won’t count, because its not team slayer. Just like Fiesta Slayer, Tactical Slayer, FFA Slayer and Ranked Slayer also don’t count.
I’m aware that via one playlist it is called Slayer and via another it is called Team Slayer but aside from that there isn’t any real difference, it’s still 2 teams, 4 players per team, same scoring mechanic, same score limit, same time limit, same map options.
It just seems like an arbitrary difference rather than a meaningful distinction between the two so I can understand why players might expect and/or would want them to be treated the same when it comes to challenges.
I think having all the challenges that are play blah blah playlist challenges are dumb altogether. I liked this -Yoink!- better when we mostly had to get kills with weapons cars or get wins. But crybabies cried that those were too hard so now we have boring -Yoink!- playlist challenges that take zero skill, and you people still find something to complain about. Inflate playlists, inflate these nutts man.
I think the difference is that these Slayer modes are mixed in with the Objective game modes. Why are they when they have their own dedicated play lists? I rather enjoy the objective based modes but i am forced to quit out when i enter Quick Play mode and get a Slayer game. It shouldnt be there in that playlist, IMO ![]()
