Playing Solo Is Not Very Fun

I was totally fine playing matchmaking in other halo games by myself but this game… it’s just boring. You can’t play team games basically at all because you will get crushed or JIP into a losing game.

I just wish rumble pit was more traditional. Well, I guess I wish the whole game was more traditional.

I agree, OP. Playing this game without a team is awful.

I don’t know EXACTLY what it is.

Probably because Flood sucks. If it was regular infection it could offer a nice change once in a while. But I hate that gametype in this game. And regicide is fun sometimes.

Rumble pit is boooring. rumble pro all the time on those crummy forge maps.

Instant respawn and JIP are horrible aswell.

And the lag is pathetic.

Just listing the things I hate as I’m playing a game on shutout, rumble pro that I was JIP into as I am waiting for the game to start as someone dropped out.

At least you can avoid JiP by using the network settings trick.

Grab a buddy in multi-teams and it’s extremely fun.

OMG I know. Multi Team is the best. GOTTA LOVE IT.

I don’t know, I have a really good time without a team. Of course, playing with friends is the best thing, but if you get crushed all the time, then you have to change something on yourself or on your play style. Many people play this game without brain.

I get depressed playing by myself in Halo 4. I was just fine by myself in Reach though.

> I get depressed playing by myself in Halo 4. I was just fine by myself in Reach though.

Same here. Played the crap outa rumble pit in reach.

So was REACH.

If I have no friends online, I will normally play 1 or 2 games, but if i keep getting games where im carrying my team and were losing, I will go play BF3.

I played a game of SWAT solo, and got 40 kills, and we still lost. My team mates only needed 20 kils between them, i don’t they managed 10 between them.

Playing with friends is also more fun, because you can rely on them to work as a team.

I don’t think it was.

Did you ever play BTB with a full team of Randoms and keep getting spawned trapped?

I must admit it was great to be in a full team of randoms and spawn trap a full party.

I was just realizing this today as well. My brother and I like to work on mastering commendations so we go into Regicide. It’s the easiest to get those automatic and plasma pistol kills. We have fun talking trash to each other and whenever we meet each other on the battle field we’ll have plasma pistol fights. Both of us still try our best to win, but it’s still a lot of fun. I’m a CSR 37 in that playlist, but I usually get stuck playing lower CSR’s cause he’s only a 17 or so (cause of his obsession with getting the plasma pistol commendation).

I decided to play some Regicide by myself to try and get the final kills for my Suppressor, and I was hating life so much. I would get joined into games where everyone was using DMR’s, and even was told I sucked after I beat a dude who was using a BR and Boltshot.

I wish they had ranked playlists separated from social playlists so I could actually go have some fun instead of worrying about all the tryhards out there trying to get their 50’s.

Tell me about it, I DNFed 15 games tonight…15!! Theres something that isn’t in Halo 4, it’s called incentive. I went solo more successfully in Reach then Halo 4.

yep. no incentive. hit 130 last year.

God I sincerely hope they don’t muck up Halo 5. Halo will be in BAD shape if that game has as many issues as this one.

Reach was terrible alone, the only thing I ever got were entire btb parties of inheritors. Do any of you know what it’s like to play assault against a coordinated team of players upwards of a 2.0 on one of those awful forge maps with a bunch of headless chickens for teammates? They didn’t even play the objective, they didn’t need to. I can hold my own but it’s not enough. It’s never enough.

You don’t know pain. That game made me stop my tradition of never quitting a match. I use to have principles until they took my innocence.

theatrics - complete

More seriously, searching alone has NEVER been pleasant, unless you search FFA types, where the reason is obvious.

> I agree, OP. Playing this game without a team is awful.

It has always been awful, its not just this game.

I hate playing FFA, but in Halo 3 Lone Wolves was my most played playlist purely because it was the only one I could consistently rank up in solo.

Playing TDM and 1 in 2 games would be ruined instantly by people leaving/team-killing or the other team being a party.

That said I don’t play any FFA now, all team games, and with the introduction of JIP it has improved a little IMO.

If you don’t like playing alone go find someone.

In the time it has spent you for ranting about this on the forums you could have just tried adding some of the people on the forums to play with.

Besides, the game isn’t that bad solo compared to reach.
left, right and center I saw bad players and the only nice game modes to play in my opinion was swat and invasion.

As the guy said above me, Lone wolfs was the best. We need another game type like it because rumble pit and regicide don’t cut it.

I always lone wolf on big team slayer, and enjoy it. except for the lag and all the jip.

I still don’t get the reach hate. loved that game. matchmaking in 3 was the tops though.

I have always had more fun in FFA in the past games, and I think it’s because of the map selection. I think if there were more maps in rumble pit and some didn’t exist cough dispatch cough I would be happier.

Right now I think rumble pit has:

haven
abandon
dispatch
adrift
shutout
simplex

pretty poor selection. got boring REAL quick.

If there are more, I sure as hell haven’t seen them.
