So I have played Halo 5 for a year now. (Halo is still awesome!) After one year, I just found out in matchmaking that when you press up on the D-Pad, it does something on your radar and makes a sound. What does that do? Sorry if I’m stupid but I actually just found out lol. I know what it does in the Campaign like finding intel or ammo but what does it do in Multiplayer? Please help lol, super curious.

It creates a ping, allowing all your teammates to know of your location. Your Service tag will flash yellow repeatedly in your direction until you let go
That will go on my list of “Buttons I’ve never pressed while playing Multi-player” lol I didn’t know that either. ha!

Yeah its meant to help when theres multiple people talking and someone calls out like "hey im pinging; coming with a warthog. Then a flag carrier looks for the ping to see which teammate was the one talking and is on their way. Its to avoid confusion in bigger team games with alot of people talking

I love it. It’s useful when I’m partied up haha
just an indicator to show where you are at. me and my team use it when playing breakout most times to show there is danger around us if someone doesn’t have a mic or it acts up
