Having recently purchased some Halo 4 Map Packs i realized that the only way to play them online is by hoping the entire lobby owns the maps and that they come up in selection, and that they are voted for. This seems like quite a stretch but their is an obvious solution:
Create the ability for a player to filter matchmaking so that it only looks for players for X map pack or Y map pack so that there is always a fair chance of playing on the DLC. Implementing this would avoid the problems of having to create a dedicated playlist for the DLC or just hoping to get into a DLC match online.
I could be wrong but is this not a perfect solution? And if so, why hasn’t it been implemented yet?
well a high population is a requirement for this.
it’s to late to implement this now… imagine splitting an already low population
otherwise a good idea…if it would’ve been implemented earlier
Would it really effect the population that much? It sort of feels like 90% of players don’t have the map packs so it would only be a problem to match those who own the maps
I have an addiction! It’s called achievements. Lol. I obtained all original ones in halo 4, left for about a year, then I come back to get all the dlc and achievements. What I get is over $30 spent, about 100 games played, not a single new map even comes up for vote in matchmaking. There are 11 of them for xxxxx sake. Also there is no play list for dlc. Who can guess if I’ll ever make another halo purchase again? Not this guy. That’s for damn sure. I’m actually pissed right now! I’ve been a halo fan from day 1. I’ll never forget the feeling playing my first halo campaign or linking up with my pals for some halo1 matchmaking, before there was matchmaking. I’m really disappointed.
They should just call it: pay to BORROW the maps for a month before the playlist is taken down and they cant be played anymore!
Seriously though, I don’t know what they can do, they’ve hung their own noose by not making people buy the maps to play online at the expense of not letting paying customers access their maps. :S
Yes! Saw that pop up which is great, can finally play some of my maps! Although the Majestic Map Pack weirdly isn’t included, also there needs to be a ‘Big Team DLC’ Playlist to accommodate the larger maps.
It seems like a temporary playlist though because it says it ends on April 14th That would be a BUMMER!
Agreed, I LOVE these maps they’re BADASS, so much better than the standard maps, not that they were bad! Having barrels of fun with Squad DLC 343 please don’t remove it! Cheers! 3===D
If necessary, make the DLC free and mandatory. Although some people who bought it may feel cheated, they will feel less cheated than they currently are now. Think about it – it’s obvious.
