Playing as diff Spartans

3, reach, & 4.

You ever really stop to think, “Hey, im a different spartan in this game”? II’s, III’s, and IV’s

My fav being 3’s of course :stuck_out_tongue:

I like to think my Halo:Reach Spartan III persona has just been recruited into Halo:4’s Spartan IV program. The fact only a little over thirty Spartan II’s ever saw actual combat negates my suspended disbelief that my Halo:3 Spartan even exists.

I would enjoy it if 343i made it possible to carry over your Spartan IV into the next games multiplayer, instead of starting all over again.

Armor wise or what? I wouldn’t mind if my reach spartan was transfered over, just give me my S.P.I. dangit!

Armor would be cool but I was thinking more like service record, kinda like how Reach had 3 & ODST stats.
But It would be interesting if Halo:5 had all original armor but If you did the transfer you could use the previous games gear you had equipped.

Edit: Forget text in red, instead check the Armor unlock system below.

I guess it would depend on how connected 4&5 will be, I wouldn’t mind picking a specific starting armor like recruit or mark V(B)

I made an Armor unlock system check it out.

Maybe they could let you choose your starting armor configuration from five options like Recruit/Mark:V(B)/S.P.I./ODST/Mark:VI
Then do a more dedicated specialization system that rewards progression with different sets of armor/accessories/skins, old and new variants from all previous games.

Example: Recon Specialization
LV1-Halo:3 Recon armor
LV2-4, Accessories & Skins
LV5-Halo:Reach Recon armor
LV6-8, Accessories & Skins
LV10-Halo:4 Recon armor, Accessories & Skins

Halo:5 original armor would be filtered into the system based on its named purpose like, EVA/Security/Rogue/commando etc.

Once choosing your starting armor, you would need to complete all of its specific specializations before choosing another starter path.

Example: First Mark V(B) Then Second Mark VI
Mark V(B)- Commando/Air Assault/EVA/Scout/Grenadier
Mark VI- CQB/Scout/EOD/Recon/Rogue

I guess they could drop the perk system and focus on progression and Rank aesthetics system instead. I base all of this off the fact Naomi’s Mark VII could reconfigure itself based on her personal preference.
(purely visual, no effect on gameplay)

I like that idea, and you could choose an older one if you’d want correct?

Yeah any preexisting version once unlocked, plus over-armor accessories like in Reach and armor-paint skins like in 4, for every version.

It would be neat if Halo Xbox One did what Halo 2 did and gave us a second Campaign. We can play as the Master Chief at some parts and then switch to Gabriel Thorne to see what he is up to.

Thorne was cool, but I would much rather they do it like Halo 2 did with it being another species (My wish: Original Forerunner Character) that way we could gain insight into another culture while still getting another perspective for campaign story events.

I wouldn’t be apposed to playing as the Arbiter again or as you suggest, play as a Promethean. I suppose if they keep Spartan Ops alive, (I hope they do), then we can play as another Spartan there. We haven’t seen the last of Crimson after all.

in the future I would killllllll to be an odst and drop into battle break open my pod and start mowin down coviea with my trusty smg

I really think they need to make a game like ODST but have it be about the IV’s. Seeing I don’t think they are going to make another SPOPs I think that is the way the need to go. Take all of your states from H4 and move them on to that game

Perhaps if they expanded on the design concept of spartan ops, and provide spin-off episodes/a season where you play as a certain other character (special spartan, elite, etc).

I’d rather play as a grunt tbh.

I really dislike Thorne. I can see why everyone likes him but the reasons aren’t really valid. Maybe I’ll change my mind when his character is expanded on.

Well, that’s kind of the point isn’t it? If we’re playing as him in a Campaign then his character is being expanded upon.

I think of my character being a Spartan II, then being drafted over to III when their squad was wiped out. As for Spartan IV, I think of it as an ODST or even the same old spartan III from cryosleep.

Here’s hoping they continue Spartan ops in some form in the future and also do a twin perspective campaign, that way we can play as three characters altogether.

(By the way, nice Prefect Nihilus)

343i is trying to turn Thorne into what my sister and I, both huge Halo fans, called a “Mini-Chief”.

lol me too.

and yeah i thought spartan IIIs were the best ones too op =]
