Why do I keep getting matched up against diamond players in free for all when I’m unranked?
whats the point of this?
unranked players should only play against other unranked players.
How do you know how good you are without playing others in different ranks?
That means you’ll be in diamond league unless you keep losing.
Ffa is the least played game type, and it’s near the end of the season. So just by guessing I would say there are VERY few unranked people trying to find a game at the same time you are.

well thats dumb imo, back in the day if someone was a 20 n a friend was a 40, that 20 had to play with other 40s. now a diamond can just pick on lower players this way and rank up. seems to defeat the purpose of being competitive.

Except it’s a free for all…grouped friends aren’t allowed in FFA.
that is my favorite. I love playing a good challenge
Being unranked doesn’t mean that you’re a low rank player. A champion level player would start out unranked for their first 10 games, until they get ranked.
At least you’re getting into games. I’ve yet to successfully get into a FFA game because the playlist population is so low in my region. BTB is also going the way of the dodo.

Unranked means that the game is testing you against a variety of skill ranks. From my experience you usually start against Gold/Plat and drop down or go up from there depending on your performance. If you win your first placement match by a landslide you can bet that the next group of players you come across are a few ranks higher.
You better had win against those Diamond players, if you do then you’re on Diamond.

I seriously doubt a Diamond would rank up after beating silvers. If it does happen, there is something horribly wrong with the CSR system.
The system expects the diamond to win, so there’d be little to no reward. Now if that player lost though.
The ranks you play against is directly reflected by the rank the system see you as.
As an example: I have played and won five FFA matches so far, and I am playing against onyx players. If I continue winning, I will get ranked as Onyx
Matchmaking is a gambit all on its own. I’ve seen teams with Silver, gold & unranked vs 2 platinum 1 gold 1 silver.
I believe team balance should go off KDR. You can be really bad but your team keeps winning and you just keep getting tougher people. It’s good to go up against some tougher players but I know what that’s like and how people get mad if their team isn’t doing perfectly.
Personally I don’t mind getting completely new players or people still learning, I just ask that you stay in the match.

What if the reason that your team win is because of other contributions you make towards your team not reflected in KDR, and you get bad stats?

LOL. Ya, Halo 5 does not play well with BTB, especially with the way the maps are.

I meant for Slayer, where the major contribution would kills and assist. In objective based matches yeah that’s different.
