Hi everyone, I have not played on any of my map pack maps in a long time and wanted to get people together who had them so we can create a large party to play on those maps by taking a huge party into matchmaking to force them to appear or playing customs to just play on the maps.
My tag is Jackpot4 and this is for the Xbox 360 Halo 4.
Not to be that guy, but what you need is MCC. The Halo 4 playlist is Vertigo, Skyline, Landfall, Pitfall, and Monolith almost every time. Maybe with a little Haven every now and then for good measure. I’m actually getting a little tired of the DLC maps. The BTB playlist is cross-game so you mostly end up playing Halo 2 or 3, but when 4 gets the vote it always seems to be Wreckage, Shatter, Harvest, and occasionally Exile or Ragnarok. I seldom see Perdition, but I guess that’s just the luck of the draw. C’mon. Get an Xbox One. You know you want to.
I have an xbox one and I stopped playing the MCC because the overpowered battle rifle is infuriating. Every single person uses it because it went from the most friendly newbie weapon to a weapon on par with the SAW. It beats AR at point blank and DMR at range, even when they fire before the BR. The auto-aim is horrendous as outright misses land. I went from 3-7 kills a game AR start on Halo 4 MCC to 14+ kills a game against better players in Halo 4 Xbox 360. It was bad enough that I actually brought my Xbox 360 out to play over my Xbox One.

That was a very good article and had excellent points. I remember back on Zanzibar where we would be calling out who was riding where as we rushed the base. There is no team work whatsoever now. There are casual players, I will admit. They are only getting 6 to 8 kills a game, but the better players are racking up far more kills. Even in that article it notes how the BR has been powered up. Just today I have been trying the MCC with a more defensive strategy, but in every game, if every single player doesn’t get their most kills with a BR it’s either a sniper or rocket/laser/incinerator.
Just gave MCC a few games to see if it was worth playing. EVERY SINGLE PLAYER had the BR/boltshot combo with the only variation being the trade for a sniper rifle, fuel rod, or rocket. Nearly every time I died from a BR it killed me in three bursts, many misses still did damage, one burst+melee killed me, BS, BS, BS, etc. etc.
The Battle Rifle has broken multiplayer moreso than the call of duty mindset it already was. I am now kicking back on my xbox 360 to play actual competition that does not solely rely on the overpowered battle rifle for kills. I can’t believe they took the 10 second learning curve gun that was already way too newbie friendly and made it more powerful. Someone needs to get fired in 343’s playtesting group.

Yeah the BR was underpowered compared to the DMR. So they equaled it out with the DMR. Before the buff the go to weapon was the DMR. Why would people want to spawn with a CQB weapon when they could cover all ranges?

BRs are more balanced than ARs and the fact that before that buff DMR was king.

Well in that case, if the scale of balance occurs for the BR then the AR should be improved to be in that scale. When looking at the game from the AR perspective, the BR is overpowered, looking at it from the BR perspective, then the AR is underpowered. The DMR is not a threat at all most of the time. It is a Designated Marksman Rifle, it is supposed to be good at mid to long range. I normally beat them with my carbines.

I enjoy burst weapon more than full auto… I use the m16a4 and m4 as my main guns in bf4. And in cod i tend to go for the semi autos not full autos. So how do If I spray of I stick to burst or semi weapons. Full auto is never skillful

So controlling a weapon and bursting it at the right moments to outgun people who have preset restrictions where all they have to do is mash their trigger is less “skillful”? The BR makes it so the user (who is already lacking weapon control ability) can’t expel the entire magazine in one trigger pull. The burst is there so the user does not need to control the weapon nearly as well as someone with an AR. It is simple fact. The burst is a general purpose use, it should be decent in all range brackets, but it should NOT be the best in all of them, especially when you have weapons like the AR and DMR specifically built to cover close and long range. I don’t know why you cannot comprehend this.

You de realise that you have to deal with 1st shot recoil every time you fire the weapon right? Autos are easier to use in bf4 but burst is better for range but an auto can do it. I like the an94 as well with 2 round burst which kills in 3 bursts or fewer of you get head shots. Halo is the same thing you have to deal with delay of the burst like in real life. Also how is bipoding with a 200 round belt lmg n holding down the trigger hard? It’s not it’s very easy to get kills Ina corridor
