There is a helmet for players that have used forge and got their creation into the map rotation. It would be pretty cool if people who have utilised the API in some way also got something unique whether it be a in game helmet or emblem.
Just a thought that popped into my head today.

I see they said they have some skins that they are giving away to people who helped the community. Heres hoping they include the API guys in the criteria 
It is really surprising how little they have focused on community api developers because it seems like they put so much work into the api just to have it mostly ignored. I am grateful they had the hack-a-thon but unless you were one of the few winners, that was a lot of work for little reward. I figured they would have at least given out some req packs or something.

They said they’re only retroactively giving away those skins for players featured in 2017 community updates, so probably not 
My hackation entry was linked to in one of the community updates, so hopefully they do decide to go back further!

I’d imagine that Waypoint itself makes use of the API behind the scenes, so giving the community access was just a matter of setting up the subscription key system. I agree it’d be nice to get a bit more attention, and the last update mentioned the possibility of a hackathon for the HW2 API so fingers crossed.
