when I’m in a halo game (example) CTF) people will tend to think it is regular slayer and you are the only one playing the objective on your entire team
yeppp hate this… guess time to find some random halo friends on xbox live to join up with when possible
time to delete halo 5 to make room for Witcher III and 10 more other games in my back log
This has been the case since Blood Gulch.
Normally the objective involves killing people, like making the way to the base to get the flag.
But some people avoid the flag and just rack up kills.
I guess its human nature.
It’s a common problem in every FPS.
You want to play an objective based mode, but your teammates think that is funny to kill the other players instead of capturing the flag, or defending the zone.
Search for some friends, it’s the better thing you can do.

To me the mentality of playing slayer and objective is different. If I play slayer then objective I find it difficult to change my thinking in one match and vis versa.
My biggest flaw in ctf tend to be I don’t notice the flag is away. The flag away icon is barely noticeable.
Why cap the flag when I can pad my stats?

Your teammates are just playing the long game. Nothing discombobulates an enemy more than a few well-timed bags.
Sometimes the worse play is to pull flag. You have to know when to do it.
Well the enemy can’t cap the flag while dead and yelling at their screen in anger due to being tbagged.
Theyd be too busy chasing for a revenge tbag to worry about the flag.

TL;DR: STOP ENJOYING THE GAME.
This is a game, is there really a correct way to play as long as you are having fun? I mean I like to be competitive and win, but some people just want to play and kill people without playing for the objective. Those players hope for Slayer every time, but with no voting in the game choice they have no say. It does suck when you want to be playing to win and doing the objective, but that’s what mics and fireteams are for. This can be avoided.

Your KD is below 1 for all arena, your win % is below 40%, and the highest ranking you have achieved in Team Arena is Silver 3. If you cannot play effectively yourself please do not tell others to not play casually in any gametype they would like to. Thank you.
It’s the worst in BTB. People with the flag will just refuse to jump in your Hog, or they jump in the driver seat and take off…alone. Just so they can go for the rockets by the enemy’s spawn, leading to their death.
I hate when that happens when I play CTF
