Players quitting question

It seems that a player usually quite every game now. Is it because of server issues or people just quitting to quit?

I noticed this too and I think it may be related to the game just freezing. I have to dashboard like every other game now due to this. It usually happens right after I close the carnage report.

It would freeze before the update, too, but it would always unfreeze. Not the case anymore.

It’s just quitters because they just don’t care anymore.

About 95% of games I don’t finish are caused by random disconnects from the game server or my Internet, and those disconnects are not infrequent. On rare occasions I will drop out of a game because I am consistently dying after taking three steps from my spawn.

Most cut and run when they are losing because their connections seem to be fine when they are winning.

I think it’s a combination of both. A lot of the time it seems that people care less about ranks and will just quit out when they’re losing, but I’ve also seen some instances in which it was likely a random disconnect. Yesterday I was playing doubles and losing by a very fair margin and one of the opponents left. I felt bad for him so I went ahead and let him win because it was pretty obvious his partner had no intention of leaving, and they where definitely going to win if the game continued as it was.

I don’t think much good is going to come out of trying to discern why players quit. It’s better to accept that they just do. Here’s what I’ve noticed: I only play Warzone Firefight on Heroic. When I play Halo 5, that’s what I play. But I see players quit from that all the time, like every other match or so. And I rarely lose (often the players leave when we’re doing well), so I don’t think most players are quitting because they’re losing, as is commonly suggested.

Maybe it’s different in ranked, but anyway, it’s better to accept that quitting will happen for any number of reasons, and we can only do so much to figure out why. There are lots and lots of human behaviors that baffle me and I will never understand (listening to Katy Perry, voting Republican, eating surströmming, etc.) and life becomes much easier when you put quitting from Halo into that category and don’t even try to comprehend it. Trust me, it will save you a lot of stress. There are always going to be quitters.

This its so frustrating. Why are more people not complaining about this it’s a game breaking problem I’m so sick of it.

Probably cause people get booted mid game, or…Imo, casuals can’t play without Ranked/Social being Sweaty

But I quit when I’m carrying my team…sorry but I’m getting P’d off every time this happens

Bit of both I say , servers etc been worse since the update , matchmaking is worse , lower population sometimes puts unequally skilled players together
so no one wants to get stomped, players are unwilling to play hard games everyone wants the instant gratification of a win.

played 5 warzone games last night. lost 4, won 1. in the 5 games 18 people on my side left and 5 on the opposition’s team.
it feels like the population is so low that these gaps are not being filled because there aren’t people to fill the gaps

It will unfreeze if you wait long enough and it doesn’t take too long normally this happens to me a lot and it still unfreezes

Players may quit to just quit, but sometimes they could have lagged out. It happens to me a lot

Some could be server issues that’s happened to me before but not in a while most would be from quitting. It’s always been this way.

My quitting comes mostly from grifball booting, or my gf disconnects/rage quit. I prefer to play with her.

When things don’t go their way, they quit, not only affecting their score but the team that has the quitter loses the advantage of having the same amount of players.

More nuggets of wisdom here than I can count.

If so, I hope she didn’t rage quit from that match…
