The past few days it is taking FOREVER to get a match . I’ll be searching with team mates and the players Found will come up and it won’t connect session and start up the match. I was on 3 hours last night searching nonstop and played 3 games. This is not making me want to spend my money on halo 5 as bad as MCC has been in the past year… 
My roomate and I are having the same issue along with everyone else we talked to in the 3 games we got in so far. I played good till about 9 pm est last night with no problem and then after that and this morning. Almost impossible to find a game
Does 343 ever look at these and use it to fix the game??
I have no idea. I would hope so.
Me and my friends are having the same issue. It says players found and then it does not load it says searching again or something like that. It just loops forever and it takes 10 to 15 minutes to find a match. Please fix this! Thanks

when checking my connection my xbox told me that it might be a problem on their end and to check Xbox Support. it said they were aware that MCC was having problems and they were working on it. If it has something to do with 343, I’m not sure. i also was playing last night with a friend and then got cut off because we couldn’t find a game for the life of us. we also kept getting kicked out of the party chat we created over and over again, sometimes mid game. Really hating this right now. I know it says its xbox lives fault possibly, but there are many times this happens with this particular game. i put in COD just to see if it was xbox live and that worked fine, got a game in 20 seconds. i never wait more than 1 minute for a COD game, EVER! It can take 10 minutes to get a game and load it, especially H2A.
The same thing is happening to me right now. This seems to happen all the time actually.
I don’t understand what the problem is here guys…pretty simple concept. make a game. make it playable. allow people to easily match up to one another. enforce a ranking structure then put your 60 dollar price tag on it… for days the match making has been screwed up and wont allow me to play games in mostly just H2A format. it has hindered my ability to practice with my squad for halo events. this has been a rushed broken game from the start and whether or not its xbox lives fault or 343 i don’t care just get it fixed. its a shame what this game has done to its once large halo community. it almost destroy the faith that halo will continue on in the world of gaming. that’s a sad day. halo 5 will be my last chance i give the franchise cause they haven’t offered anything good in almost 10 years.
Just bought an Xbox One to play Halo:MCC. Matchmaking times are slow at best, taking between 5-15 minutes to find a game in any playlist. More frequently however I can not find a game in the playlist I want to play at all and will have to shop around the playlists randomly to find a game; 15 - 20 minutes. But MOST FREQUENTLY, I can’t find a game in any playlist at all, including Team Slayer. The fact that I can’t find a match in any of the playlists at all is incredibly frustrating.
More Problems: Not to mention when I do connect to a game it is always 3v4 since someone has quit out or is not playing. Also their is shot Registration issues especially in H3, and I seem to get more lag in H3 than in any of the other games. No 4v4 H:CE playlist bothers me. Maps take an excessive amount of time to load, 1-2 minutes.
More Problems: After every match I have to be returned to the matchmaking main menu because the game doesn’t allow you to search within the same paylist after you’ve finished a game. So after every game instead of automatically searching for the next game, like every single online matchmaking game I’ve ever witnessed, it instead boots you to the main menu every time. This is a shocking design flaw a year after the game has been out. Considering I stare at the nameplate while waiting to connect to a matchmaking game, it makes a ton of sense that all nameplates are unlocked via the campaign. At the end of every game the screen freezes for 10-15 seconds.
343 is incompetent.
Microsoft has sold me so many broken products I have lost count.
Last of my dealings with either company, I was hesitant going into this but I’m done. This game is a total failure which is amazing considering all they had to do was port old games.
Halo 2 Anniversary, the new multiplayer developed by Certain Affinity (that 343 didn’t touch) is great, it’s smooth and I think it has the best BR & Sniper in the series. It would be nice if Certain Affinity could take over the MCC and fix the Matchmaking problems. It would also be nice if Certain Affinity could take over the Halo series because 343 is incompetent and has killed the series. I don’t think 343 is simply trying to kill Halo anymore I think they’ve finally succeeded.
I’ve waited 14 years to be able to play H1 4v4 on Xbox Live. Still can’t. This is the second Anniversary that hasn’t included that. I find this incredible, because it’s the first reason the community wanted these games brought back.
Also since the matchmaking system is so broken all the players are just smashed in with each other. There’s no middle ground which is what the majority of people are looking for, decent competitive games they can enjoy. I either am playing against kids with no experience, or playing against a ridiculous team of MLG try-hards. It’s like 0 or 100 there’s no in between.
I also don’t understand why Halo doesn’t incorporate ranked Renegades playlists so that you can go into matchmaking as a single and not have to deal with ridiculous try-hard teams spawn killing you. I mean they’ve tried to copy about half of COD why not add the one thing from COD that would make sense in the Halo universe, ranked singles playlists.
Hey 343 thanks for removing this Topic from the Front Page. I see that about 8 new Topics have sprung up with people complaining they can’t find games in Matchmaking. Because we can’t find games in matchmaking. Because once again 343 and Microsoft have sold us a completely broken product, and are audio-deaf to everyone that bought their product that is begging them to fix it. FK YOU 343.
This weekend has been especially bad, not to say that I don’t normally have to wait absurd amounts of time for a game.
Same problem here. Was going good until like 1-2 days ago, then it started to take like 20min to find one game and other playlists it finds no one.
MCC is the only game that does this…even for the Blops3 beta, I found games back to back and instantaneously.
