I think it’s 343 that’s screwing teams over by horrible challenges to get items that should be free… or maybe people don’t mind doing challenges even if they end up screwing over their team because the cosmetic is worth more to them than winning a game, which nets you nothing even in a ranked game you get nothing worthwhile for a win… that shiny number means nothing to some people.

NO, we can’t select game types. CTF is horrendous and honestly shouldnt even be in ranked at this point.

Also, ranked having a different loadout is also irritating and proof the game devs dont know how to make a game. Every game that does this is failure.

Im quitting every time my team doesn’t get how to play the game. Im not wasting my life due people wanting rank. just get rid of it. its 2021, esports is trash and so ranked br only halo with no side arm…just dumb
or get rid of the challenges so we aren’t forced to play it at all.
In terms of rank, you can still try to play well and come out not losing any rank, or even going up.
So you don’t think rank shouldn’t be part of the game but you continue to play it? Hmm. Kind of sounds like a you problem. Don’t make it everyone else’s by leaving a match early for a game type you don’t even like maybe?

lol, that is not what I said. And i never said I leave games because I dont enjoy the game type.
I remember a time when people used to jump into halo multiplayer to play and have fun cause they actually enjoyed playing the game! not just go on it concerned about challenges and skins! If thats the only reason your playing these games then you clearĺy dont play cause you enjoy the game itself so why bother at all… how the generations have changed…
Bans don’t stop quitters. MCC was very harsh, yet it did not stop.

Apparently it doesn’t stop a certain Halo YouTube personality from being in the top 0.1% of matches quit either.

A lot of people are leaving ranked matches because of being matched with players their skill level but that same match is close or above 200 ping. In some very rare occasions you may be able to best your opponents on a high ping game if they aren’t particularly experienced. But if you are Platinum or above those players you match with are gonna shred you to pieces at 180-220 ping.
You won’t stand a chance.
Some people are quitting because they assume the match is already lost. But a lot are refusing to play with such high latency & really who could blame them.
With de-sync and no region filter ranked is almost impossible to play once you reach diamond in laggy lobbies.

This 100%. Also does not help that there is only 1 playlist for ranked. So when you get a CTF but have teammates that are more focused on their K/D. You are screwed. I find more often than not I’m stuck defending in hopes of a tie because at least 1 but usually 2 players only want to positive K/D and could care less about the objective.

Here is my opinion. I have dropped out of a few games in Ranked. My reasons? If you are outnumbered in an objective game mode, you are going to lose the game anyway. Why stay? By staying you are risking losing more exp, than leaving. Plus, by staying in a match you know you are going to lose, you are wasting the other teams time. It just helps everyone in this situation.

What kills me is when matches will start 3v4. Like no one is shown as having quit… it just launches uneven.
On the topic of challenges, ranked challenges should not exist. At all. Even Play X games or cumulative score, whatever. Because people are just going to try and stack whatever other challenges they might have along with it and inevitably throw matches.
IMHO challenge progression of any kind should be disabled in ranked play. They just take away from the purpose of the playlist, to compete. But I also am aware of those that only play ranked, so it wouldn’t be a fair compromise for them. So idk what the best solution would be.

if my bullets stop registering i leave end of story, i’m not going to play a match where i have to fire 5-6 bursts of br to pop shields when my enemy only has to fire 4 to end me, and yes i’ve had this happen.
they could just do the sweaty equity challenge from MCC or complete ranked matches
I only leave when the game forces me to (crashes) which happens a lot. I wish I could rejoin but not an option.
I wish at the very least you didn’t lose progress when someone drops out. Give the other team a win and progress but if you are on the losing side after someone drops out you should not be penalized.
Oh there is a ban for quitting both social and ranked matches. The ban time stacks in relation to how many offences you have committed (leaving games, committing suicide to lower their SBMM)
People don’t realise some international players have to land 8 BR shots to kill an enemy some games because the server they got placed on is so far away and they are competing against players of their same skill level that only have to 4 shot…
There is no equality or fairness in a game like that
