Nothing like being matched with teammates that are either inactive the whole game or just kill themselves/let the other team kill them. Really kills my interest with this game.
Welcome to an ongoing problem. While they are scum, you either have to deal with it and then report them via gamercard or play FFA and not have to worry about teams.
Yeah, totally agree. They really do suck the fun out of the game. Especially when you have to go up against a 4-man team by yourself.

343, is it really that hard to add a timer to kick out the AFK people? Not tryna be rude, I’m just asking.

Yeah that time to kick when afk is ridiculous, playing BTB I had a bug where the Controller Disconnected got stuck on my screen, found a work away around it, total of 2-3mins I didn’t get kicked, definitely needs to be decreased though but
It is so annoying. I don’t understand why people do it. There is a search browser, you can play what games and gametypes you prefer…
Report them here, at least I saw a mod say that is the most effective way.
Wouldn’t hurt to report them to xbl as well.

They do it to exploit the xp system. Since players can gain xp even if they aren’t playing they just stay signed in to rank up in xp faster.

Had an enemy teammate play in a 1v4 last night. Score was 48-10. I felt bad for him having to suffer so i sent a message saying “GG” and how it’s awful to have to deal with that. Everytime i see someone with a guest, i instantly think “They are going to quit out” and 75% of the time, it’s true. That’s why i wish “local party size” could be set to 1.

It doesn’t matter if you are using a preset or a custom search. 90% of your matches will have quitters. It will still happen.

After the match is over, wait a couple of minutes. Your next match shouldn’t have them.
The original games never had an AFK Timer. Bungie never made one so anyone could go entire match not doing anything and be put into the next match.
Couple days ago i matched with 3 afk players in firefight.
Never had that happen before.

Thanks dude!
I honestly haven’t found many games with AFK…
Whenever I’m playing with three teammates and three opponents have quit leaving us only one enemy, then yes. I begin to betray teammates. Hey, gotta make it fair for the other guy, right? Plus I avoid overshields, active camo, roclet launchers, sniper rifles, energy swords and shotguns.
Another thing i hate teammates doing is in Reach Heavy’s some team players like to blow up the tanks, banishes etc, on your side and somehow are able to do it without betraying you… you just kind of jump out of the tank as your team blows it up…
I also heard somewhere its a 3 strike ban you get up to 3 betrayals a match than after that your booted with a one min ban…

I don’t know about that. But if you get booted/quit out, it’s a one minute ban. The second time is like 5 minutes. I think the time just goes up each time it happens.

I’ve tried the same thing always thought that was busted.

Bungie never made one because they didn’t have auto-queue which is what caused this mess in the first place. Also, you had to WIN to get exp.

I’m aware. I’ve played all the original halo’s. Halo 2 when xbl still up. At least that system didn’t reward the problem.
