Player Trait Zone

Could there be basic and advanced settings? Looks like it could use it.

If gravity is altered then would the 0-G Thruster Pack act more like its in 0-G? Elimination of sparks, longer boost distance? How would it effect the Jet-Pack?

Also, does it affect all objects, just spartans, or just living spartans?

Its a damn awesome feature weather it includes any of these or not, but still, the more the better.

Thoughts??

I don’t think so. That’s a bit too much for a simple map creator like Forge is. We shouldn’t expect much more from Halo 4’s forge than we already have w/ Reach’s aside from some much-needed polish and a few extra features here and there like those that were shown. 343i is doing so much w/ the rest of the game that Forge is really the last thing they should be focusing on right now. Leave it for next gen.

Probably only living Spartans since the traits are the same as you see in Halo Reach’s base player traits menu in the custom game engine.

Also, I noticed an Appearance option in the zone settings. I wonder what kind of effects that will have.

Just thought of another suggestion. Maybe we can make it so players see smoke or rain or something. Stuff that visually effects the environment.

Well they said no weather effects, so I think it just changes your Spartan’s looks. But as for Zero-G affecting objects, I think it would be easier to use Gravity Volumes.

I did not know they conformed weather effects. What are Gravity Volumes?

He meant “no”, not “so”. Weather effects are out.

We don’t have too much info on Gravity Volumes, but based on a video of a Halo 4 HORSE map, it seems like they’re just Gravity Lifts that affect a larger, resizeable area.

Sorry, there was a spelling error. I meant to say that they confirmed no weather effects at the RTX Q&A. Here is what the gravity volume does:

> - Gravity Volumes confirmed. Has a purple color and looks similar to the Trait Zones and Kill boundaries. While in it you can make anything inside of it (players, whicles, crates, etc.) lift up, be pulled down, or be pulled to either side. Perimeter of it can be spotted while in player form.
