Found a nasty issue in the beta on the player profile page, but chalked it up to being the beta. It was easier to spot then as everyone started with fresh stats. Pretty much for every kill, it’d also track a death, no matter what. I knew the kind of games I was having game after game and saw my stats in the beta as even, then checked some others and all were the same, around even. Now I’m noticing the actual final release does this and is messing up everyone’s stats, including our past overall now that it’s been synced which is definitely a shame.
Here is an example of my stats before the game, the post game, then my stats after the game. I went 13-7 but it added 13-13 to my record.
I’m seeing this exact same issue. I have gone off in recent games with K/D mostly being 2:1, 3:1 or higher, and looked at my stats randomly to see I had a negative K/d. Deaths are almost equal to kills.
Bump. I wanted to nerd out and track my k/d increase when Reach dropped. My k/d was roughly 6500 to 3500 and now it’s saying 7,800 to 4,800 in game which just isn’t true, I have gone about 1300 kills to 300 deaths, I kept a separate tally. On this website however I think it is accurate, as I’m 7800 to 3800. Hopefully they can fix it in game, probably just a display issue instead of actual stat recording since the stats on this site are recorded and displayed accurately.
Finally I found a post on this issue!? Yeah it’s kind of annoying. My KD is roughly 1.5 on the website. But after seeing my KD negative in game, I was like whats the point of having a service record if it doesn’t even work haha. Hopefully this is fixed ASAP
Halo Is Back!?
I even made a new account, does the exact same thing for this account too.
I have tried everything I can possibly think of and it still doesn’t work. I don’t even have a service record (even though I played Reach on the xbox 360 when it was released) so I don’t know what’s going on.
I submitted a ticket for the issue and am awaiting some kind of reply. In the meantime, I think we should all comment and keep this thread alive so the right eyes see it. Perhaps tweet the issue and link to Postums and some Halo influencers to get it pushed to the right eyes sooner than later.
Just checked Waypoint, while it is counting customs as well, the numbers do record correct thankfully. Here’s an image of a before and after matchmaking game.
Same think happens to me, opened a ticket and they gave me this “response/fix” that of course did not help worth jack (as expected).

That’s so frustrating. I hope they know of this, but I haven’t seen it mentioned. I haven’t gotten a reply to my ticket yet, I would encourage everyone to do so. Being a part of the insider build and having submitted, I figured it’d have been addressed by release. It’s such an obvious oversight.

I am also experiencing this and even tested it out for multiple games. No matter what, my kd will stay at positive 318 over my deaths IN GAME. On waypoint it is correct. So let’s say I go in a game and get 10 kills without dying, I then restart my game so the stats will update and what do you know? My kills went up 10 but also my deaths went up 10 even if I didn’t die during that last game! It has been at a consistent +318 for like a week now. Most people wouldn’t care about this but I know my k/d is positive a couple thousand instead of +318. Hope this gets fixed because it bugs the crap out of me. I submitted a ticket and hopefully they fix this ASAP.

Still hasn’t even been mentioned, very odd indeed. Just to know it’s noticed and will be addressed at some point would be nice at this point.

I completely agree and I am hoping that they not only fix the glitch but also correct our stats to resemble the ones we have on halo waypoint.
This still is not fully fixed and needs to be addressed. It no longer adds a death, but the stats (which are correct on Halo Waypoint) are not amended. They are correct on Waypoint, please fix the numbers and do not allow years (in some cases) of stats to be butchered.
> - A stat error has been fixed that was causing multiplayer kills in Halo: Reach to increase the deaths in your service record.
