Player retention

Just wondering how many players have left halo infinite since launch.

I see so much feedback about all the broken systems and over priced cosmetics (which i agree with). I also see the broken challenge system where you can do all the weeks stuff in less than 12 hours…

Cant imagine many foak hang around after that.

Also when playing ranked i have been matched qith the sane people multiple times which is usually a sign of low player counts.

I’m giving them till the end of the week to announce their changes and do some immediate stop-gap measures. If 343 hasn’t said or done anything by then I’m heading back to MCC where all of my favorite modes are and progression is actually respected. I’ll then pop back in on the 8th for however long the campaign lasts before going back to MCC permanently until they fix this crap.

It’s not like I’m losing out on anything good. The Tenrai event sucks and what little Reach armor there is in the “battle pass” will still be waiting for me. I don’t even give a crap about the store right now with how inflated its prices are. I don’t have it installed to check, but I’m pretty sure the equivalent to the Weekly armor set bundle in Destiny 2, which is a full set of ornaments, costs like five to ten bucks or can be purchased with the earned in-game premium currency after a while.

I’m still hanging around. But they need to fix the servers, aim assist bug and hit detection otherwise the game will die off pretty fast due to it being unplayable.

Steam game stats are a good place to start.

I think it peaked at 220,000, and it hit about 140,000 tops today.

It’s currently the 4th played game on Steam behind PUBG (3rd), Dota (2nd) and CSGO (1st).

They for sure need 60 tick server’s for ranked. And they need to add other game modes for ranked. Current ranked should be MLG and they need to add doubles, sniper, swat, slayer. This will help with player retention. I already have Onyx in open Que and input MnK. And I want more. Lastly they need a rejoin feature, game crashing and people getting temp bans is a sure way to make people stop playing.

Player counts are still in the hundred of thousands. Last week I think we had 270,000 on steam alone. That’s not including from game pass or on the Xbox console. We don’t have the numbers for that, but we know rn Halo is the top played game on Xbox. Not to mention it’s competing for most views on twitch with the other big shooters like Fortnite and Apex.

I’d guess there’s 400-500,000 people online at peak times .

The game is sitting at around 130k daily (daily peak) which isnt that bad compared to the unfortunate mess that is Battlefield 2042. As of 11:20 PM CT, Halo infinite has 103k players, and BF2042 having 28k. I think its the gameplay that keeps the current audience at the moment, which is good. But i do hope they add more game modes to the permanent playlist rather than have them for events only.

One important note is that those are Steam only numbers. Doesn’t include people playing from the Xbox app or the actual consoles.

or better plan they gives updates on fixes when they give them not to your timetable

I’m done with the game until they add choice for matchmaking playlists and fix custom games. I’m surprised the game is still maintaining the number of players it has. I hope it gets fixed soon.
