When i click my player id in the options and career it vanishes and just shows the background for the menu and rarely loads

Just exit and relaunch the game. Works for me.

Have you tried a hard reset?

Mine works now but it takes a good while to load

Sadly it’s a chance thing. Either it will appear for you or it won’t. It doesn’t usually take that long to load.

After closer examination, this is a serious bug. One night I clicked on the Player ID feature, and it didn’t load for a solid ten minutes. So I clocked it the next time, and it took 39m14s for the menu to pop back up.

However, to see if you could launch it while waiting in a matchmaking lobby, I ran into serious problems, potentially game-breaking. The animated background would often freeze and stutter, and the audio would screech. Normally the audio quiets down once a game is found, and it did that for me. But once the game started the background froze, the game crashed, and I received an error message for my efforts, telling me to uninstall and reinstall the game. After reinstalling I ran into serious frame rate issues both in campaign and multiplayer. I would recommend not trying this. Please be aware that if you do, do it at your own discretion.

A hard reset often doesn’t work. I tried the same to get my achievements to show up, and they appeared for a brief minute before disappearing again once I exited the menu. If anything, a hard reset is like a short shot of adrenaline that quickly dissipates. it doesn’t help solve the problem.
