On the topic of the ice skin, is it better to go in solo or have a team because I’ve heard that halo 5 try’s to match teams with teams?

Your best bet is to probably find a team of people to play with. The system does prioritize team matching. They also usually search on Expanded. It’s not an easy thing to pull off really.
