I would be overly excited to see the ability to play as an Elite in multiplayer make its return, especially with the armor customization present in the MCC and H5. Maybe even playable Brutes? Dunno if it’s already been officially announced that this won’t be a thing. Please 343i bring it back. I must wortwortwort my enemies in SWAT.
I think it would be great if we had a mode similar to the MP style in Gears (Heroes vs Villians essentially). One side would be Spartans or ODSTs (you would choose) vs another side which would be Elites or Brutes (then again, your choice). For regular MP, players should have a choice between Spartans, ODSTs, Elites, Brutes and Promethean Soldiers. Maybe for another alternative mode they would have weapons relating to their faction (Spartans have AR+Magnum, Elites have Plasma Rifle+Plasma Pistol, Soldiers have Surpressor+Boltshot, etc)

Elites absolutly! About brutes? Also big yes from my side. And some legacy armor sets should be there for both elites and brutes. Like chieftain armor for a brute, honor guard armor for elites…
With 343’s emphasis on the Spartan Super Soldiers, I doubt this will happen. But anything is possible, there is still alot we don’t know about and they’re full of surprises.

Playable Elites were first added in Halo 2, and since then they became a staple of Halo. How can 343 just take that away? There is nothing wrong with them focusing on Spartans, of course. But that doesn’t justify removing playable Elites at all.
I mean, in Halo Reach, Bungie expanded the Spartan customisation significantly yet still had Elites available to play as and with several appearances of their own.
Honestly, those of us who might want to play as Elites aren’t asking for much, just that we can play as them and have at least the same number of armour sets that Reach did for its’ Elites, along with the ability to mix and match between them. Well, that is what I personally would hope for and expect, but I’m certain a fair amount of people feel the same.
