Playable Sangheili

I could see them bringing back Elites once they are satisfied with the amount of Spartan cosmetics in the game. Bringing in Elites could give them another clean slate to add even more cosmetics and the like.

I think the way infinite is structured they’d most likely do it the Reach way

Whiles i doubt 343 would give a single chance of us split lip preferred species a chance…
If they do add playable elites, they’l most likely be a ‘armor core’ and be under microtransactions. and we don’t want any more of that in Halo Infinite

If they do that they’d probably at least give us the default minor core for free. Also what do u guys think of that carrier in that one btb map, do y’all think it’s the shadow of intent?

No because a UNSC frogate shot at it

HAH, doubtful. It wouldn’t make them enough money if they dared to offer something worthwhile for free, oh says the microsoft

I was thinking about that too, but the weapon the frigate used didn’t look like a mac cannon or anything else. My thoughts are that it could be some kind of dummy weapon used in war games simulations with other ships. Ik it’s a stretch but I just really want that ship to be the shadow of intent so there’d be a chance for arbiter and playable elites so come back lol

As a stalwart Elite fan, I not only expect them to come at some point, and I see a decent armor collection coming. I wouldn’t be surprised if elites get just 2 battle passes, at least it’s something. And I’m sure the fracture event would have elite themed Spartan armor if and when the elite drop.

Invasion game types are a blast. And if this comes with forgeable ai; Imagine if you will a custom game where a team of Spartans face banished to an objective while a team of elites face Spartan and unsc to objective. The two team meet in the middle for epic showdown.

That’s not possible without playable elites

Hmm…
The weapon isn’t a mac gun nor does it have a mac gun on the ship…. It doesn’t seem to be a mock weapon. Still don’t think the ship is the shadow of intent. Image if you figured out that your allies were firing at a virtual copy of your flagship….

It would send the wrong message

I think in this case the answer to the question is “don’t think about it”. I would be very surprised if the designers who put it onto the map put any more thought into it beyond ‘hey wouldn’t it be super cool to have ships shooting each other overhead’ when they came up with the idea.

I think this should happen. Dude I made it to rank 49 in Halo 2 as an Elite!
If you still are stingy about it they could have it for Campaign or FireFight ODST type mode or have a multiplayer setting for those who don’t care in multiplayer or ranked if someone is playing Elite character.

The richness of the HALO universe is where various races exist and fight in their respective positions.
Present it to the player already in HALO2,
Constructed a story that is not the story of Spartans, Spartans, Spartans & Spartans.

Why isn’t that element since HALO4?
I really feel that I have lost the richness of science fiction.

Unfortunately, the number of women has increased since becoming 343 HALO, but the affluence has been lost.
I feel that the number of brave and impressive women like Miranda, Cortana and Serena has decreased.

I think.
I think that making the elite and Brute playable will lead to the richness of the game world and the richness of gameplay.

Won’t buy this game until I can play Elite in MP

If it comes out, it must be the sword of Sanghelios.
They are friends.
I also want to use Brute (I want to follow Atriox)
The arbiter team is more likely to come true here

Or just make sure that if you pick elite or brute it is not better than spartan. That way if you want to run that model it would be a small disadvantage.

Honestly to not have playable elites would be a missed opportunity for them cuz it could be a whole armor core and battle pass lol. I’d buy if if they just do the battle pass right. Personally believe the current one is bad just due to the armor kit system. If they just at least have all the armor pieces separate and I’m sold.

Plus it would be good to have a Halo Reach system where Elites are only playable is Elite Slayer or an Invasion type game mode.

This exactly. They’ve just been throwing random new Spartans at us every game that we really could care less about.
I hope at some point they bring in the sos as a story dlc because I really don’t think the banished or cortana would leave sanghelios alone with arbiters forces being the next big threat to them both and being allied with the unsc

My thought is that since this is a new training facility and not a simulation, it could be inferred that the real shadow of intent is conducting battle drills with that unsc frigate IRL, but it could just be my wishful thinking.

Sharing this here because my other post was locked and I was directed here.

So after playing both the Flights and the recent release I can confidently say that playable elites could work in Halo Infinite. As a long time fan since Halo 3 I have always played as an Elite. So far with the way Infinite plays it feels more like a classic game that has evolved. The movement isn’t extremely advanced like Halo 5. I could see an Elite using Grapple shot, repulser, or any of the other equipment. They also have a slimmer body/hit box like they used to in the older games.

343 has also spoke about Player Expression a lot. Playing as an Elite is part of that. Every Halo my proffered species has always been Elites. The customization was great in Halo 3 but lacking in Reach. But with Infinite it would be amazing. Plus it would open up options for some other game modes as well.

An Expansion or Season idea would be based around the Swords of Sanghelios coming in to assist the UNSC. Imagine, a story expansion that starts off with the Banished about to take you out. Then out of no where S.o.S Banshees fly overhead taking out Banished drop ships and you hear the Arbiter on Comms saying he’s there to assist.

To me, and many others playable elites belong in Halo. The whole, Halo Infinite is a “Spartans Story” is no excuse. Reach was a Spartan Story, Halo 3 was a Spartan story, with elites in co-op. Yet both games had Playable Elites. 343 can do it, and I hope at some point playable elites will return.

I would really love the Playable Elites to return to Halo.
Its very clear that the fan base want to be able to play as them.
They where playable in Halo 2A, they had a very larger hitbox then the spartan in the MP of Halo 2A. But still love to play them even tho i was an easier target to take down.

Also brining back the playable Elites, would also return one of Halo Reach favorite game mode called Invasion. To this day, i still think its one of the best game modes in Halo, even though it had 3 maps for the mode. It was stil the mode i ranked myself up from recruit to Legend. it was rare i played other game modes, but that was most because friends wanted to play other modes like SWAT, Sniper and BTB.

Back to the topic…

I dont think the hitboxes would be much different then spartan hitboxes in Halo Infinite other then maybe a bit taller then the spartan.

Elites dont have to be in ranked mode tho…even tho i personaly want them in all the modes.

Halo Infinite would be the perfect game to add sweet armor from other games like the Elite Honor guard, Silent shadow and the different elites in Halo infinite itself. there are alot they can add.

If not…how about you pick them up as a power up and when you activat it…you pocessing an Elite from the campaign similar to this modded MCC video there you pocessing a Halo reach Elite AI from the campaign that plays very different from the regular playable elites. That would also be a very cool feature if they added an Invasion 2.0 mode there the Elites can pickup a power up that makes them spawn in as a Brute(cant pickup weapons) or a Hunter etc. that could also Evolve into new custom game modes like grunt slayer, Elite vs Brute or a team of Elites that are hunting 1 player that is playing as a Brute Cheiftain. etc.
