As long as they have the same hitbox as Spartans (which was’t the case in H2/H3), I don’t see the problem of adding them in. They could also force turn them off for Ranked or HCS playlists as a compromise.

They already have a bunch of cool armor/helmet/shoulder variations in the campaign and they’re not twice as tall as Spartans like in H5 so that dream might be coming one day.

I totally agree.

I really don’t see why playable elites are that bad or shoudn’t come back.

Adding them would add more to the game than their absence:

  • More customization for BP and Shop which would allow 343 to have better breathing room to create new spartan armor elements without saturating in term of ideas or visuals.

  • Following the last point, it allows 343 to have new mtx options other than Spartan, Vehicles and Weapons.

  • More creativity for machinima like we had in H2, H3 and especially HR allowing us to do stories about the Human-Covenant War but with better visual than Reach or simply post war stories.

Also, I have seen a lot of people against playable elites said that it wouldn’t be good if a BP was focused on Elite but I don’t see why it would be that bad.
Just looking at the MCC, season 7 was focused on Sangheili but it had some Spartan customization mix with the Elite customization.
343 could just do the same in Infinite, there would still be people complaining but it wouldn’t be that bad.

I would argue they should be using the money they made off the launch and store sales to bring on some more developers so they can fix all the issues AND add content.
Saying issues need to be addressed is great and all but I have seen several games die in recent years because they lacked content for too long while developers focused on fixing core issues. 343i needs to fix the game but they also need to give players they have already lost some real reasons to return.

I’ve already given up on infinite. Can’t add our dinos if they can’t even fix their game and add in the basic content that’s been at launch since 2007

Well, looking at the armor they showed off in the latest post from 343, it seems that they’re are going the same route they went in Halo 5 with Helioskrill. Not actually being able to play as an Elite or Brute, but having armor that just looks like them.

Arby on the cover of the novel looks very thin. His armor is close to the appearance in Halo5, but the proportion of his legs is obviously consistent with the elite in Halo Infinite.
Considering that 343 always provides modeling to painter, this means that they may appear in the game.
It’s a pity if such a popular role is just NPC.

So helioskrill is coming back then?? Or a new elite looking Spartan armor. I honestly think that’s a waste bc we already have the yoroi core and I’d use that over a helioskrill core any day. At that point just give us an elite armor core even if the hud and functionality is just a reskin of Spartans

So it’s brute looking armor? I haven’t been able to find the pic you’re talking about so idk. If you’re referring to the iron eagle core leaked for season 2 I’d consider that more human diesel punk than brute

343 adds an Arbiter armor core before Spartans get a Mark VI that looks like the Chief lol

I think playing as only spartans gets redundant after awhile. Which unfortunately has been for me. That said yes we should fix the game first but We’ve been playing as spartans for almost 10 years now. Nothings more redundant than that.

Give me playable Elites and assassinations, and ill be playing this everyday like i did with Halo Reach when it first released
