hey I heard rumors a couple weeks ago, not sure what source, but it said halo 4 could only be played on elite or better, is this true ?
Yes. And it also needs to have pokemon stickers on it.
I haven’t heard any official word on this, but it doesn’t really make sense to not let people with older consoles play.
But if they do, that’s one more excuse to get the Halo 4 console!
there is no difference between Elite and Arcade xbox, aside from color and storage
No. Not even remotely.
All you need is a HDD.
Not sure if a 16gb usb drive will work.
> there is no difference between Elite and Arcade xbox, aside from color and storage
I got an answer on another post. Stating “You just need at least 8 Gigabits of storage space available to get the full experience.” So thanks and if others were wondering the same , there yah go!
Xbox’s from 2005 have the same hardware as current xbox’s with the exception of HDD size, power management, and cooling.
I’m not completely sure, but installing it on your harddrive will require a LOT of space. Especially since there are two disks.
> Yes. And it also needs to have pokemon stickers on it.
You also need to have installed Portal, Dawngaurd, and Counterstrike: Global Offensive.
Not true

Elite has the jasper chip. More robust and less prone to fail.
But yes, the game will work on any 360.

Thank god, after seeing the title I got a little scared, because I still have my 4 year old Xbox. I’m so relieved now
Do we have to install it? Because I don’t have near 8 gigs left.
As long as you have the REQUIRED 8GB OF STORAGE TO PLAY MULTIPLAYER you are fine.
> As long as you have the REQUIRED 8GB OF STORAGE TO PLAY MULTIPLAYER you are fine.
Right, and that’s to get the full experience, so things like forge and theater won’t be available but I’m sure you’ll still be able to play no problem. They said themselves that “you need at least an 8GB usb stick to get the full exp”.

No. To “get the full experience” is what Reach required prior to a patch. You couldn’t use theater of Firefight IIRC.
Halo 4 flat out requires the 8gb install to play multiplayer. Period.

Xbox.com notes that players will need “at least an 8GB USB flash drive or an Xbox 360 Hard Drive”
If xbox.com states that a 8GB USB flash drive will be enough, then it’l be enough. It can’t be a full 8GB install because flash drives, all drives are smaller than the size they say they are.
4 is around 3, 20 is 15…etc

*Online multiplayer and Spartan Ops requires Xbox LIVE Gold membership (sold separately).
Minimum 8GB USB Flash Drive or Xbox 360 Hard Drive required for Halo Infinity Multiplayer.
For an optimal experience, play with Xbox 360 Hard Drive.
(For Xbox 360 4 GB, Arcade and Core consoles, Xbox 360 Hard Drive sold separately).
See storage.halo4.com for specifications.
System requirements forthcoming.

I believe this is what muggles call “horse poop.” I actually might not get it now. I’m not paying an extra 50 bucks just so I can play one freakin game.

An 8GB USB will be enough, but it doesn’t mean it will be a 8GB install, most games these days aren’t flat out 8.00GB spot-on, it is usually 7.0-7.4/5GB, which is roughly the size of a USB for the Xbox 360.
