Halo Wars 2 multiplayer could utilise it’s advantage of including many leaders from the extended universe. This way players can feel indulged with these characters in a similar way to Fleet: Battles, no matter of their current status; dead or alive. A more varied customization could get people in the zone more and only small changes would need to be made such as a few model difference for vehicles, armour colours and banners. They could add many of these with little effort put into it as people would just appreaciate the ability to do so.
You know Halo Wars 2 is only going to be UNSC vs. The Banished. And i bet the Banished leaders will be Atriox, Let 'Volir, and that other brute that is second in command to Atriox. And UNSC I’m not so sure about but i think Cutter, Anders, and that new AI.

It will be Atriox, Let 'Volir, and Decimus for the covie faction and Cutter, Anders, and the Isabel A.I. Thing for the UNSC but DLCs will release more commanders and pre-ordering Halo Wars 2 gives you the welcome to the ark thing that has all of the original commanders.
