I know this is going to spark controversy, but…
How many people don’t want playable elites just out of spite. Why? Don’t give reasons as to how it doesn’t follow cannon, there’s been many arguments both sides that are both reasonable. Or the whole hit box/height/abilities thing those can all be fixed. But I’m wondering how many people just absolutely hate the idea of elites.
The only reason the controversy wears thin with me is because it’s a perfect example of the idea that if feature X existed in any Halo game in the past then any Halo game in the future must include that feature or else it is cheating fans. I don’t care one way or the other what any individual player wants to look like on the battlefield, and I can even agree that the differences in hit box or speed or whatever could lend themselves to gametypes like Invasion. But the idea that playable Elites is somehow an entitlement just grates on me.
