I dont know if somebody suggested this, but would be awesome if there is option to play the campaign with your Multiplayer Spartan, when I dont know, like when you already beat the Legendary campaign that will unlocks that option, I think it would be a good feature
I recall there being some discussion about this. Since the story is supposed to be Chief-centric, I don’t think it would make sense to have any other Spartan be the center of attention or playable for more than one or two levels. One suggestion that was thrown out (can’t recall if it was mine, someone else’s, or a combination of both) was to have a skull that would simply reskin Master Chief as your MP Spartan. That way, the story would not have to be altered or forced to accommodate a specific customizable Spartan like in Reach (no intention of making that sound negative as Reach was designed to be about a “redacted” Spartan), but it would still allow you to experience the joys of having a customizable character in campaign.
I have championed the idea on the forums for a while that having co-op players (not player 1) rep their multi-player Spartans instead of Chief duplicates in the campaign would be a cool way to go. It’s never been a high point in the games that make the second player a clone of Chief; and sure, it wouldn’t be any more canonical if your personal Spartan was running around through the campaign with Chief. But assuming that the story won’t accommodate something like H3 where player two feels like they’re occupying an important and meaningful character like the Arbiter while player one gets to rep Chief, I think letting players rock their MP armor is a bit of a nice consolation.
I’ve also wondered about the possibility of this being just one of a handful of options for co-op players. Again, all non-canonical, but wouldn’t it be fun and cool if different established characters could be unlocked for co-op players? I’m thinking skins and Firefight voices, basically, but imagine being able to unlock Johnson, Buck, Arbiter, Carter, etc that way. Could be a really cool way to add some replayability to the campaign co-op experience. Sort of similar to the way that Halo Wars 2 DLC brought back characters like Johnson and John Forge, so there’s some adjacent precedent for something like this already.
Just some thoughts, and I’m not expecting either of these avenues are likely to pan out, but I think they’d both be fun and interesting.
I like the idea of the main player being Chief and everyone else being their own spartans! Nice idea.

Could easily be explained away by saying Master Chief was just trying different outfits and/or if players unlock armour it could be explained by saying the campaign was a training simulator from Spartans training by replaying ‘MC campaigns’ like a holodex so they could choose the armour they want so in theory the same excuse could be used if they decide to play as an Elite.

Ohh yeah, sort of like how the premise for Spartan Strike was explained.
Well, given there already is skulls that makes confetti pop out of grunts head while kids cheer, I dont think there wouldn’t be an noncanonical option after certain requirements are met, though I think it’s still more fitting in Halo Reach style spin-off.

Sure sort of but I was thinking more like Star Trek’s holo-novels where someone could replay the campaigns through someone else playing that character but for Halo…I guess similar to Halo 5’s multiplayer and Spartan Strike while obviously the 1st playthrough would be the real playthrough similar to how people mostly used Noble 6 armour on their 1st campaign run-through on Reach since the rookie would have a canon design instead of the unlocks that people used.

This would make the most sense to me if they ever did such a thing

That would be cool; an unlockable toggle that replaces the Chief’s model with your own customised Spartan. As long as it’s not there by default, forcing the players to use the Chief’s initial model until they unlock it, I’d actually really like to see this.
