Play with elite in multiplayer

So I’d like to ask, that the only way to play with elite caracter in multi is that if i play spartans vs. elites mod?

Or elite slayer. You can choose to play that gametype as well. Any type of invasion, or elite slayer will grant you access to use your elite player model.
