I’m not saying 343 should spend any extra precious time making them, but if MM spartan bots already exist for internal studio testing, I think they should be implemented into the game as a simulation MM game mode. It would be great way for people with no internet to enjoy MM. It would also be a great way for noobs to learn the maps and get a sense of how MM works. Forgers could use this mode for quick, cheap play tests on their creations.
inb4 That’s what FF is for. <- (No, FF is nothing like MM.)
Your thoughts?
EDIT: I am talking about just having them in customs, not in actual MM, lol…
Bots would be great, especially if they could replace players that have quit in matchmaking. That way, there would be less complaints and issues about quiting.

No bots in MM would be free kills for the other team it’s like that in Gears too you see a bot it’s a free kill UNLESS by some small chance they kill you which doesn’t happen very often.

I see what you are saying, but it’s definetly better than being continuously banshee bombed at your spawn when your entire team quits
None in matchmaking specifically. As for forge testing, that would be nice. Unfortunately, bots dont think like humans do, and would likely just -Yoink- the whole thing up.

That is one of those magical moments where there is no shame in quitting. There’s nothing to be gained by giving the other team kills like that, you aren’t lessened by quitting in that situation.
And no; having bots wouldn’t be better, it would give the banshee pilot easier targets.

How about we have a skill based matchmaking system…then you will never face those BTB teams.

Hmmm…fine. I guess. Maybe not matchmaking. The people’s ideas above about offline though seem interesting.

Nevertheless interesting idea i just don’t think Halo is right for it but it would be something cool to add to maybe customs and forge.

hate to be the bad guy but that sir, is the problem, bots can never be used in a forge map because they first of all have to be programmed to move around the map or you will be staring at a bot that is walking to his death or walking to the wall. unless 343 make that you can programm the AI (what will never happen) it would not work, this is the same exact reason why we dont have forge firefight.
I don’t think they should be in matchmaking.
But custom games against bots would be a great addition. Changing the bot difficulty as you please in customs so you can practice on dummys to get warmed up. It would be a serious addition to the franchise but it could work.
It will allow practice without having to rely on complete noobs in a matchmaking game, finding friends to play against, or playing a super competitive team in MM.
Fantastic idea for custom games. It would be a great way for newer players to get integrated with Halo. Bots are probably the only reason I was able to get into Quake (that game is so damn hard), and I bet it would help draw players into Halo.
