Play to lose

Having played 2000 game and about 1000 WARZONE I can safely say I can’t recall a single game where chasing the aliens won the game … so why do people abandon bases to chase aliens, don’t you care about winning ???

I know a lot of player still need these kills but when I was I still kept an eye on bases to see if the enemy wasn’t trying to take it.

I’ve said this before bases score point over a no time attacking a alien is a random chance of points.

Chancing aliens over take a base never wins !

While controlling atleast one base is almost always required to win a warzone match, Boss kills are what you should go for. Having a base doesn’t give you points but puts you in a better position to get them. Once you get a base and know that it is secure then you go for the boss kills. But only defending a base will not get you very far.

I disagree I’ve seen/been on teams with the core in jeopardy more than once and still pulled out a win thanks to boss kill domination. Having a base is definitely important, but boss hunting is too.

Are you talking about boss kills or AI kills? I am so confused. If you are talking about boss kills, it is almost impossible to win without killing them. If you are talking about random AI then they are idiots lol.

Exactly, the best strategy in Warzone is to balance out how much you defend/capture bases and what bosses you go for.

The team that takes the bosses wins 90% of the time. I’ve literally won a match when the enemy team had mine triple capped by kill stealing the warden.

I just kill players because they are more fun to fight. I dislike the bullet sponges known as bosses.

Thanks for the advice OP, but I prefer to keep winning.

matador2045?? You changed your gamer tag! I like it!

Bases give you a point every three seconds so it is better to focus bases once you have two keep pressure on there third and it should be difficult for you to lose the game

Chase aliens? Boss kills are the key to winning warzone period! Unless you can cap all three bases and then destroy the core… simply holding two bases won’t win you the game at all. A team holding two bases will always lose to a team holding one base and getting the majority of boss kills, especially legendary bosses.

Your team should always go for bosses over bases every time on every map.

See you on the battlefield.

But having at least one base does give you points! For every base you have you get a point every 5 seconds.

but 2 bases and if you get ruffly half of the boss kills you will win thats at least how most of the games i have played play out

You can easily lose a game by chasing bases. I agree chasing those 25 point bosses is a bad strategy if the other team is pressuring your only base, but you need those legendary bosses or else your only shot of winning is destroy the core.

Yeah… you NEED those boss kills and getting them isn’t easy since they can be rightfully stolen. I live in warzone for boss kills and more importantly boss steals… in a bunch of games me getting the legendary bosses was the deciding factor of the game.

Really? I didn’t know that. It is still not s good idea to rely on that to let you win.

Focusing bosses in WZ is the key to winning, and has been common knowledge since last year.

Sorry, but you are absolutely wrong. There is a balance to controlling the bases and killing the bosses. Theoretically it is possible to control all 3 bases the entire game, not die once, and not kill a single boss and win because if you get the 1 point every 5 seconds for each base controlled there aren’t enough points available from bosses alone to win, but this Warzone round is a pure hypothetical that could never actually happen.

The fact is you need a strong mix of controlling the bases and taking out bosses, the 150 point bosses in particular. The bosses help your entire team req up faster, in turn giving you a slight edge with every single boss kill. Are you playing with randoms or something? Because if you play with a team you can allocate your resources, hold bases, and kill bosses at the same time.

Yeah, pretty sure boss kills are far more valuable than holding two bases. Have won more than our fair share of games holding one base.
