Play Board Games in MCC with ease now !!!

I’m an ancient board games enthusiast and I made a board games series that can be played with ease in H2A Forge in MCC using new forge features from the latest 2 games, and here’s how I did it:

Forge has recently introduced a couple of new features that makes board games easy to play in Forge mode now. One is “Item Lock”, introduced in Halo 4, which makes it easier to pick up and move game pieces without the risk of accidentally picking up part of the board itself, because the forger can “lock” every piece of game board and only leave the game pieces themselves open to pick up and play with.

The other feature is “Movement Snap”, introduced in H2A Forge. “Movement Snap”, which can be found in the same menu as “Edit Coordinates” and Magnets", causes any item you pick up to move on exact coordinates. For example, most of the game boards I made are set up for a “Movement Snap” set to “1X”, so when you move game pieces on my chess and checker boards, the pieces with stay perfectly in the middle of the squares when you move them, in turn making my games very easy to play in Forge mode by non-forgers.

Here’s the list of classic board games I’ve made so far that can be downloaded right now from my file share and played in Forge with a friend:

Halo Chess Anniversary
Halo Checkers
Halo Backgammon
Halo Snakes and Ladders
Halo Go (13x13 board)
Halo Royal Game of Ur
Halo Senet
Halo Nine Men’s Morris
Halo Alquerque (Quirkat)
Halo Tablut (Kings Table)

Update 3-22-15 Added:

Halo 20 Squares (3 variants)
Google the rules of any game you’re unfamiliar with, and check out their wiki pages for their interesting histories.

Some games use dice, so in order to keep the dice rolls as random as possible, I built a divided see-through dice box set with explosives that require the player to go into “player mode” and throw grenades into the boxes to make the dice roll. If a die doesn’t fall off the wood pallets or if it lands on a diagonal, just throw more grenades. The dice should reset back into position by the time a player has finished moving their game pieces on the board. To make the dice reset quicker, move far away from the dice, because they won’t reset if you’re too close to them.

Some games use Landmines as playing pieces. In the event that you lol blow yourself up, they will respawn back where you last had them in 1 second. If you’re playing with a very unexperienced forger, it would be best to just use initial spawns in place of the bombs. The reason I used Landmines and Capture Plates for some games, (like Backgammon and Checkers), was to have a more authentic feel for the game being played.
