Play as any species

Okay, I have an idea that in custom games, you can play as any species you want. This would be strictly limited to custom games.

Human

  • Marines
  • Orbital Drop Shock Troopers
  • Naval Officers
  • Civilians
  • Insurrectionist

Covenant

  • Unggoy (Grunts)
  • Kig-Yar (Jackel)
  • Sangheili (Elites)
  • Jiralhanae (Brutes)
  • Mgalekgolo (Hunters)
  • Yanme’e (Drones)
  • San 'Shyuum (Propthets)
  • Huragok (Engineers)

Other

  • Forerunners [I’m not sure about this one]
  • Ancient Enemy
  • Any other species we might encounter in Halo 4

This would be a great asset for those who make Machinima (RedvBlue) and for anybody who wants to play as these species for fun.

I wouldn’t expect this to come with the game because it could quite possibly take time to implement. But it would be a nice feature to add down the line.

Your thoughts?

It’d makemachinimas pretty interesting. Maybe we’ll see it in Halo 6 so Halo can leavve off with a bang.

I guess 343’s animation team isn’t going to sleep until the release of Halo 4.

Would be awsome. All Humans would play the same with some not having sheilds and lower health. Covenant would be tricky.

but those machinima guys are very very clever so even with =out this they find ways

It’d be hard to include at this point. Besides, 343 would have to suddenly design new gameplay options for playing as a Drone, Hunters, and Engineers. It’d be neat for machinima, but that’s it.

Not really. When you fly as a Drone you could make it like a JetPack. Engineers could fly like the Forge Moniters. I don’t know about the Hunters.

And I’m sure 343i/Microsoft think a lot of Machinima since they let Red vs Blue advertise Halo 4’s release date.

Why only in customs? That’s no fun.

Anyway, never going to happen, too much work.

I hope so. You could have an OPs where you can play as Brutes Elites and Jackels.
