if you want to play the first missions from SPARTAN-OPS that are in the disc ALONE(like singleplayer) you need to be connected and gold member

I understant that if you want to play CO-OP with people you need connection and gold

but if you want to play SOLO ALONE why I need to be connected and gold member ???

and in future seasons I must pay first the spartan-ops DLC an then GOLD just to play solo

Tis a bit silly but view spartan ops as a bonus to your xbox live gold subscription.

Yeah, that seems OK. I mean, most people already have a gold account to play WarGames on.

Isn’t Spartan Ops months limited edition exclusive? Did you tried to wait for the game official release date?

Don’t you have Gold Live and Xbox Live connection? if yes, why not play the game at legendary settings before the release?

I remember something similar at Gears 3. Two days before the Release, Microsoft putted a price like this one for skins:

MatchMaking is MULTIPLAYER !!! and for me is OK to pay for MULTIPLAYER

but SPARTON-OPS if you play SOLO-ALONE there is not multiplayer and not co-op , it is singleplayer

and pay more money to play alone the second part from the campaign is not OK ! it is UNFAIR

I’m glad I took the liberty of buying Halo 4 for a lower price.

No campaign theater, no offline Spartan Ops. That just leaves me with a long campaign and it’s limited replayability options (old skulls, weekly and monthly challenges, mostly same Covies, only 3 Promethean enemies). I hope the glitches, exploration, and easter eggs are strong in this game…

It’s the prince we pay. Spartan Ops is an online series. So i’ts basically impossible to play without live Gold. Look for the bright side. I pay 100 bucks for 12 months Gold.

I am unaware of the Spartan Op’s content, but if you wish to play with others, you will need a connection for sure. If you want to play solo, and the memory is saved, then you will be able to play in a offline basis. This goes down to the disc’s themselves however…

I think i must agree with xaval. If we play spartan ops, single player i don’t really see the need for gold membership. To make matters worst they took out firefight which now really reduces single player as well as off line co-op capabilities.

I feel you bro, campaign is short and spartan ops is not a valid excuse of why they made it short, and worse you have to have GOLD to play spartan ops ALONE.
