Is it still possible to get platinum packs from the req store in halo 5? I can’t find them anywhere and I have a lot of req points to spend. If they aren’t in the game, can I purchase them with actual money somewhere?
Platinum packs are usually only available for short periods of time. They may return during the HCS finals that are coming up in the next few weeks, 343 usually gives awaye Gold and Plat packs to those who watch the broadcasts
I highly, highly recommend you do NOT purchase a Platinum pack with real money. They are not worth it. Just because they say Platinum doesn’t necessarily make them any better than a Gold, especially when your are an SR112. You still have way too many things to unlock, and with the randomness in the opening of packs you aren’t guaranteed good items. If you have RP’s saved up than use them towards the Silver and Gold method. Open Silvers til you are done with the permanent unlocks there, and then move onto Golds. Keep working generally you unlock everything around SR130.

You can also gain platinum packs at some Microsoft store Halo events. I got third place in a 4v4 once and got four platinum packs. The team in first got six I think. I haven’t opened them yet because I still haven’t unlocked a lot of perma-unlocks.

Yeah but you get better quality with platinum packs. I miss platinum packs. Tired of opening gold packs and getting uncommon junk in them. At least platinum packs give pretty much all good stuff. Especially way better boost and jackpots.
I think that they should re-release the HWC 2016 for one last time

Whenever the events are being broadcasted live, you go type in Halo.gg in your URL bar to watch the action. Every now and then, free REQ pack codes will be given out randomly on-screen. Once they appear, you only have ~5 minutes to redeem them in a small textbox below the broadcast.

Yeah I or some one else usually starts a code thread for players who can’t watch. Sometimes they give out a lot of packs and sometimes not so much. I am on midnight shift that week but plan on watching most of it.

As long as enough of us are watching, and posting the codes, it usually goes good.
