I played roughly 10 matches today. The first 2-4 I played against people who were either unranked or plat 1-2 like myself. I won maybe 2 of those matches. The remaining matches I played with people who were Diamond 3-6 and even Onyx and won the remaining matches and was still being matched with Onyx players. This is extremely frustrating for both the higher-ranked players and lower-ranked players. Please do something about this!
It probably means that you play better than the average platinum player.

It could be due to how the ladder is built. I know Infinite is not halo 3 so if you look at the max rank reached for me as an example I might be able to give an idea. My max rank was 38 and I played a lot of 40-45’s and would get destroyed. Those 40-45’s probably played 50’s and would get destroyed. My thoughts are that the skill would trickle down. For example people playing against MLG pros where not good enough to be 50 but they were better then the 40-45’s I played against who were better then me. I guess what I am trying to say is that some players reach the lower end others the higher end of the ladder and the rest fall in between. Lastly when I preformed poorly I would go on losing sprees and then get matched up against easier players which caused me to go on winning sprees which would put me back up on the higher rungs of the ladder. Anyway it is like a yoyo for some people . Hope that was on topic and gives you food for thought.

If your winning then you’ll climb the ranks, pretty fast and be up there too. I was placed at a platinum 5 and now I’m half way through diamond 6. Literally the game matches you with people of same average skill and wins. I think it’s a mixed bag sometimes too based on my team winning a few games then the halo god’s tweake a dump on us and match us up with onyx guys rated in the 1500 range which are savage players to me and especially my friends.
