Population can’t be that small that I get a match like below? I don’t mind having challenging games but this match up should never have happened in my opinion.
This was in team arena, we did not win. Sure they were boosting with a smurf but how exactly did we get put into a match together when 75% of their team are ranked so much higher. I’ll post the link to the game from my game history if that doesn’t count as calling out players?

EDIT: The unranked player on my team has a highest rank of champ 28. Explains a little bit why we might have gotten matched but still very frustrating for me.
While a bit on the uncommon side, these kinds of matchups do happen. I once went up against a Champ 2 and 4 in SWAT while I was a mid-Plat player. Almost held my ground for a bit, but we lost.

Do you remember what the rest of your team was ranked in that match? Even with the still unranked champ 24 on my team 75% of my team was still ranked far below who we were matched with.
I’ve been playing champ level Team Arena a lot with some friends over the past few days and unfortunately this happens to us 90% of the time as well. I mean just looking through my game history I only matched other onyx players a handful of times out of my nearly 50 matches played. It’s just as frustrating because the games aren’t close or fun and we only gain 1-4 CSR from it every time. I can imagine it’s awful for you guys as well even if you aren’t losing much CSR if any. It could possibly be because there is two ranked objective playlists therefor splitting the population. I don’t want to see either of them go, but the matchmaking is really ridiculous right now.
this is one thing that i think needs to be fixed to bring people back to the game. i only skim 4v4s with gamebattles just to get away from the unbalanced match making.

Oh man that actually really sad to hear. But I’m glad I’m not the only one that thinks it’s ridiculous.

Honestly I’m getting sick of thinking I should be happy to lose rank from these kind of matches in order to get more even games.

I think I had two Golds and a low Diamond player on my team at the time. I think you can imagine the rest.
Once, a team of randoms and I went up against a talking team of Onyx 1500-1800’s. The team was 2 low Plats, one Plat 5 (me), and a Gold.
And we only lost by twelve points on Slayer Mercy.
Point is, your situation sucks. But have faith in the Halo gods…

Yea I wouldn’t mind if it was at least almost a close game but they were very coordinated in predicting our spawns, didn’t there used to be an average life stat in previous games? That match I’d be surprised if it was more than 12 seconds :D. No one quite though which was nice. I’m also getting tired of thinking I should just feed the enemy team kills so the match ends faster when its so unbalanced…
Yeah it happens I’ve seen it alot in Team arena I’ve actually won some games against some champion teams but most of the time me and my fellow rando’s are getting creamed 50-30 generally with 1-2 of my teammates quitting early.
Population issue is certainly related - I’ve played Vetoed a couple of times in FFA (Champ 1) and it didn’t end well for me. Hey Champs need to find matches also - they’re not all going to be online 24/7 trying to find matches at exactly the same time. I’m A Ok with testing myself against better players.

i know like im fine if i lose to someone that is around my rank (say we are both plat 4-5) but when im matching against smurfs and power-levelers all night it just makes the game less enjoyable

yes but you should not be de-ranked as hard as if you were say playing someone the same rank as you.
