Bring it back for Warzone and Forge! Why!? It was the original weapon! Plus they brought the smg back, so why not bring this back!?

My guess is that there will probably be a Brute variant of the Storm Rifle which would be wicked.
I bet they will eventually be added as REQs, that seems to be at least one thing that 343 is intent on creating more of.
Maybe I am missing something, but isn’t the storm rifle the plasma rifle, just with a more carbine-styled body?

The storm rifle in Halo 4 felt so much weaker than the plasma rifle from Halo 3.
I prefer the design of the plasma rifle. Like how I prefer the design of the old SMG… and the old rocket Launcher, and the BR and the Scorpion and Shotgun.

Kind of with you there, except oddly enough I love the new shotty look, just like the police ones we have here.

I like the new smg, but aside from that I do prefer the old designs, especially the SPNKR, and the halo 3 shotgun.
Well if that’s the case then bring back the Needle Rifle, Focus Rifle, and the flamethrower!

Not even that, you could actually snipe with the plasma rifle in CE due to the stupidity of the AI at longe range and the 100% accuracy if you were using it semi-auto.
Also the dual plazzies used to absolutely melt flood in Halo 3, so many good times…
The in game lore states that the storm rifle was the Storm covenants attempt to make a plasma based assault weapon with limited technology.
The halo 4 Version is not as powerful as any previous plasma rifle, it’s a reskinned plasma
repeater.
The halo 5 version IS stronger than same plasma rifle variants in the past but overheats faster.
I think it would be awesome if they added a REQ that was a plasma rifle, which had faster firing and farther travelling projectiles.
