Can someone tell me how to overcharge the plasma pistol in this game please? I’ve tried holding down the right trigger but that only fired a single shot instead of overcharging like before. Then I sat in a corner holding every button and still nothing happened. If it’s still hold RT to overcharge it then why isn’t it working? My controller seems to be working fine as I can charge things like spartan lasers, railguns, and other chargeable weapons. Am I just being really dumb here?
I don’t use the PP often, but I believe it does overcharge. Sit in forge to figure it out.

As I said, I sat in multiplayer holding down every button on my controller after the method of overcharging in previous games didn’t work. I’m just trying to figure out if I’m doing something wrong.
Are you using the elite controller? If so, did you switch the button to “hair trigger”?
If you did, that will prevent you from using overcharge unless you press down on the trigger extremely hard.

Really? I don’t even have my trigger stop down very far because it would cause my guns to shoot on their own. Thanks for the info.
If you are using the Elite controller, this may help:
This is happening to me and I have a regular class controller, you can not configure, and it only has a stick drift in the right stick, other halos work fine, but Halo 5 doesn’t let me.
