Having a plasma pistol and stickies as a loadout option is just ruining experiences for vehicle drivers. especially mantis and warthog. i cant get 10 feet without a swarm of people firing green boogies at me then firing blue balls at me. plasma grenades should just be picked up. same with pp.
Exactly, and ordanance drops ruin it too, and how easy it is to Dmr people from across the map.

The mantis imo is an automatic killing spree, its probably the strongest vehicle in the game. But for the warthog the pp and grenades are horrible for it. They die so fast.
Imo, the mantis machine gun is underpowered.
How else are you supposed to take down a Mantis if you can’t find a pp or Plasma Grenades and theres no chance for you to team shot it with the stupid DMR?

Shoot it.
Ruining the game? No.
Ruining vehicular combat? Yes.
If I can access a plasma pistol and 3 plasma grenades as I spawn, I do believe vehicle enthusiasts should have more scorpion tanks and less ghosts. The only vehicle I even go for at this point is the Mantis or rare Gauss Hog.
they need to fix the Plasma grenade. its s easy to stick someone you dont even have to aim or hit them just throw it. you can miss by a mile and it will make a U turn and stick you
Plasma Grenades is what I hate. It should go down to 1 PG instead of two. It’s so annoying that I get stuck by spamming PG noobs.
The combo does completely destroy vehicular combat, the only vehicle I have not seen it practiced on is the bloody Mongoose, for obvious reasons. Me being a personal fan of the ghost naturally means I try and splatter a lot with it, cause I think everyone knows that ghosts are amazing at that, but when you have people who do this, especially with Mantises, it completely ruins the whole tactical advantage of having a vehicle in your possession.
The Mantis should be able to scope it’s machine gun. It’s accuracy and turn rate are god awful.
Other than that I think the Mantis is fine. I personally get blown up immediately every time I drive it and the only thing I find it useful for is killing the other team’s banshee.
My wish is for the Railgun to be able to kill a Ghost with 1 shot.

I’m not sure if 6 people, even if all of them have DMR’s (5 DMR’s and 1 BR if I’m one of them) can take down a Mantis surrounded by 5 people with DMR’s and probably a power weapon or two. But that’s just a little scenario, that does work if the Mantis is alone for whatever reason.
The fact you can constantly disable a vehicle over and over with a plasma pistol is dumb and completely ruins the fun with the vehicles in the game. The tank is a JOKE on exile due to this. If anything with the tank at least the driver should be able to fire its main cannon when disabled and in general for all vehicles 1 disable only they shouldn’t be allowed to sit there and just disable over and over till finally they can use plasma stickies to kill it.
I remember back in the old Halo games where vehicles were actually fun to use. It’s sad that the warthog is now a joke when it’s probably the first thing to come to mind when you talk about Halo MP and it’s history.

who cares if winning matters? Do you want a virtual cookie every time you win with a number going up next to your name? What happened to video games being about chilling with your friends and having fun
I must agree, i love riding around in a hug, or even taking the flag drivin back to base with your team, good times. This hardly ever happpens anymore. Somtimes you can get in a hog and no one will ever get in as they know its a death trap lol. Back in h3 people would be betraying each other fighting to get into the gunners seat.
The mantis i think is fine, its strong enough to deal with pp and plasma nades. But one of the staple vehicles in halo, the warthog ofc, is almost pointles and thats a reall shame.
They need to do somthing. Either reduce the starting grenades if you pick plasma in your load out to 1, or remove plasma pistols from loadouts. People only pick pp as a loadout anyway to disable vechicles, there so many better guns you can pick when it comes to taking out players, and the boltshot does a far better job up close now than the pp does.
Fiximg this issue would help soo much more for games. The map would come alive more with vehicles wizzing around and actually making a differnce. Right now the only thing that lasts more than a min at best is the mantis. Thats just wrong.
You see the basic mechanics for halo were never ment for people starting with pp and 2-3 plasma nades. This please 343i needs to be looked into. Bring back the fun use of a warthog, make those huge jumps in harvest more than just a nice bit of air before your burning wreckage and flame.
Why not stop at Plasma Grenades and Plasma Pistols? Let’s have all weapons removed. Infact let’s run at each other and use collision for damage.

talking about changing up plasma pistols and plasma nades is a valid debate over a real issue. There is no reason to be cocky, no ones asking to remove everything just try and come up with an idea to stop warthogs getting destroyed in secends.
See back in halo 3, warthogs were not any stronger than they are now, but not every other person was running around with pp and plasma nades. There was probably only 2 plasma pistls on the map at a time if that, as well as plasma nades. So the warthog had some breathing space before people would scrample to find counters.
See back in h3 people would see a warthog and run away for cover, now in h4 people see a warthog and say to them selfs, oh free kills. Its the warthog thats doing the running now, and that isnt really helping gameplay for gametypes like btb, ctf ect.
