Hey, so I recently (like a week ago) started to tackle the Plasma Pistol commendation. I’ve found some tactics that get me between 5-15 PP kills a round. I got 100 kills with it in a little over an hour.
If you have the right tactics, the plasma pistol won’t be impossible. Here’s my awesome secret tactics- Loadout- BR, PP, Pulse Grenade, Hologram, Mobility, Explosives. Play REGICIDE!!!
First tactic is to use a holo and then run up and melee the enemy while they melee the holo. Then proceed to fire the pp until you get the kill. Often I accidentally get a melee kill though.
Second - Shoot someone with br until shields out, then two more body shots, switch to pp and kill.
Lastly - Hit a guy with the pulse grenade then fire away with pp.
Trust me this works. I currently am on 4/5 mastery and I haven’t really been trying for long. I’ll finish really soon when i get some free time. Oh and you must remember!!! PACE your shots. if you rapid fire it’ll just overheat before you get a kill. You need to shoot a few shots, wait a split second then continue shooting or you’ll overheat too fast. Using these tactics i usually go negative, but not by much. Many games I go positive. A few I’ve even won with using mainly PP. (A few accidental grenade or melees as well)

Yeah, and you don’t need to flame me or anything if these things don’t work for you. This is just for anyone who is trying to max out all the commendations. Now to find some way to get Mongoose destroyer… Scorpion tank is gonna be hard too…
You have already stated one that I wanted to state, but Pulse Grenade and Plasma Pistol comment on each other on both of their commendations. Pulse Grenade greatly weakens foes, so PP has a better chance. Overcharge the PP then place your Pulse Grenade, done deal. However, I would not recommend Explosives. And instead of Mobility use Grenadier, so you get two Pulse Grenades. Ammo can replace Explosive so you can have more shots in the Plasma Pistol. There you go.
