Plasma Pistol Makes No Sense

The more I use the PP, the more I learn to like it. I’m getting used to leading shots - if I lead my shots about 2 widths away from a running spartan, I will hit them at mid range almost all the time, even if they jump. Changing direction can easily put it in the gutter at 2 widths, so for strafing, 1 width is usually fine. It takes a lot of thinking, kind of like the mangler, but once you get the rhythm, it starts to feel useful as a charge shot.

Personally, I don’t think it needs a change in its tracking, or its charging,
I also don’t think that giving it back EMP is the way,

What I would like to see is giving its regular non-charged fire a burn damage when you hit 3+ shots,
kind of like how the Ravager burns through shields and health, combined with how the Disruptor shocks through shields on multiple hits.

It’d give the PP a definite utility on its own, without infringing on the rest of the sandbox, since it’d now be a better shield strip even if not charged, but in a different way from the Plasma Repeater.

I don’t think tap firing a plasma pistol is or has ever been, a thing. It’s meant to be a utility weapon and it’s very good in that role. Being able to instantly shield break someone with a non-power weapon isn’t useless.

They removed the EMP so vehicles wouldn’t be a complete deathtrap.
