So I’m no fan of infinites plasma pistol and miss H5’s. So much to the point if I’m in fiesta and I spawn with it, I’ll just drop it and go with the one weapon.
So I’m curious what you do when you spawn with it, or find it on the map. Do you pick it up or just walk by? And why.

If I know someone is coming around a corner I’ll charge it up and blast them and melee them at the same time. It’s not ideal, but I can then swap it out for whatever they had on them.
And if someone isn’t coming around the corner? You hold onto it?
Yeah, I might find myself at a corner where I can do the above to them later on.
I dont use plasma pistol in social matches.
But i pick it up quite often in ranked matches. The “noob combo” is still very effective.
The ability to YY on reloads is enough reason to keep it over dropping it lol
In Fiesta? Why would I waist time to drop it, ima die in 2 second to a sword or a rocket anyway.
I used my PP in ranked for a while, at least when during the honeymoon stage before all the cracks in this game showed themselves. If I see it on the map tho, I will mostly ignore my PP. Especially since my PP does not turn off vehicles anymore.
It’s still good for cheese but not good to have as a back up weapon. In fact, PP is horrible as a backup weapon no matter what game you’re in.
It’s best use to open shields for cheese kills and that’s about it. It can’t even use its own Overcharge Homing headshot properly since it breaks shields poorly with semi auto shot.
I pick it up. It works wonders in ranked playlists. When operated accordingly, it’s a solid usage weapon.
