Imagine two Halo CE plasma grenades forever ignited but set never to go off-
Until July.
That’s how the lower part of my armor feels waiting for one of my favorite times in my 19 years spent as a Halo fan to begin:
The marketing campaigns badass trailers, Vidocs from 343, and all of my favorite Halo YouTubers all speculating on said material.
Yet there isn’t much out yet. No perspective given for the Halo community to feel at ease about the progress of the game. All of my favorite YouTubers are having trouble finding content to create simply due to this information drought. For me personally I feel like the hype train has been built up a little too long. I’m still a Halo fan. I’m still gonna buy the game. I know I’m gonna be okay when we finally get to see the trailers and vidocs in July. However I was disappointed that the May Xbox event was void of a Halo teaser to ease us until July.
Of course I can wait, but being told we have to wait two more months for anything while they have videos going out now for the 3rd party Xbox Series X titles is making those nades in my armor glow bright and scorching hot with envy and impatience. That feeling is amplified when you throw in that we are in Quarantine.
You know that feeling you feel in Halo CE when you stick someone with a plasma nade and they run towards you, that helpless “cmon explode already!!” while listening to the grenade burn louder right before the explosion takes both of you? That’s how it feels waiting for some solid halo news right now. What’s coming is coming but the wait is unpleasant and the helplessness felt is how there’s only a short amount of time between getting a real reveal of the game and the actual release. Everything that has been handed to us has been speculated out to a maximum as far as any true Halo fan could dictate.
Please 343, give us something sooner than July. I’d love to see a spur in the community to hype us up for the next couple of months while we wait to see what you have in store.
