Plasma Nades in H4 nerfed.

I recently got into a discussion with someone about how Plasma grenades in Halo 4 are way underpowered. I recently uploaded a video in my fileshare that proves that plasma grenades are indeed underpowered. I only did it against the player and nothing more.

The video shows that when in full shields the player will and cannot die when a plasma grenade is thrown at their feet, even standing over it completely.

I’ve not seen the clip yet and so won’t I shoot you down. But from personal experiences, I’m pretty sure I’ve walked over plasmas (full shields) and died. Multiple times as well. The guy you played possibly had Explosives which reduces the damage.

Regardless of that, Plasma nades do not need a buff. As they are now, they are extremely broken to spawn with. When up close it’s almost a guaranteed stick, no skill involved.

Throwing Stickies at peoples feet is not what Sticky nades are for anyway. They have a very small blast radius and slow explosion time making them easy to avoid. If you want a nade for pre-nading and nading feet, use the frag. It’ll serve you much better than stickies which would otherwise just get you cheap kills.

I don’t understand why you’re making such a big fuss over this.

Provided that Plasma do not kill a player standing on them, as you say, what benifit would buffing them do to gameplay? They’re already 1-hit kills, and stick to players, making them deadly in close-quarters. The also stick to vehicles, and with their increased damage, and the Plasma pistol, vehicles have no way to fight players effectively.

Giving them a blast damage buff would only make them a more powerful Frag grenade, and considering how over 80% of H4’s Population already uses the grenade, and abuses it’s unbalanced strengths, that number will only increase, and Frags will be unheard of.

Also, that video needs to be rendered before anyone can watch it.

Yea you have a point there, I forgot that the explosive perk reduced explosion damage and thought it only did radius. Nevermind. I should have check more thorough on this. Sorry guys.

Don’t know what the hell you’re talking about. I stick somebody with a Plasma, they blow up… even if they’re in a tank. That’s actually a problem.

They need to reduce the armor penetration on these things, make them less effective against vehicles. We’re all familiar with the old Plasma Pistol + Plasma Grenade combo against the Warthog, and… hell, almost every other vehicle in this game.

Please stick to the one thread. There was no need to create another.
