I was just watching through the UNSC weapons trailer, and I noticed a projectile at 1:16, and it looks like it is locked on to something or someone. (This is not the rocket as you can see here)

that was the Mac launcher. I dont know if the plasma launcher is returning. However the Promethean launcher has already been confirmed.

It’s a feature that’s part of the map, those beams are the one shooting it like a mac cannon.
No word yet on the PL but I suspect it is gone considering how the sandbox is working a trifecta of weapon-type diversities.
The FRG, Rockets and Incinerator seem to be taking up the Covie, Human, Forerunner roles of heavy-hitting explosives. All with varying attributes of course.
The Incinerator visually looks like it inspired the PL’s reverse engineered appearance, much the same the BiRi does the BeRi, the Boltshot does the PP and the Suppressor does the PRi.
