Plasma Launcher Despawn Bug Needs to be Fixed!

I’m putting this out there in the hopes that it isn’t too late for some changes to be made to the title-update that’s coming to Halo Reach, thanks to 343.

Here’s the problem: There’s a bug with the Plasma Launcher which causes it to despawn aprox. 8 seconds after it is dropped. This means that in a CTF game, where the respawn is 10 seconds, even if you were to die and drop the Plasma Launcher directly where you will spawn, it will have disappeared before you can respawn to pick it up again.

This wouldn’t be such an issue if the Plasma Launcher wasn’t the ONLY one on the map, but it frequently is. On a map like Hemorrhage, the Plasma Launcher is absolutely vital because it’s the only vehicle destroyer on the map (not counting the Sniper as half of the Halo Reach population doesn’t seem to know that it can kill vehicles). It’s so infuriating to grab the Plasma Launcher which you need to take out the Wraith, only to be sniped from across the map, and your teammate can’t even make it to the weapon to pick it up before it disappears.

This really needs fixing.

No, OP is right. I can get sniped on Hemorrhage, respawn and run 20 seconds across the map to find my Sniper still there, or my teammate can get it with ease even after I respawned. The Plasma Launcher literally disappears after like 7-8 seconds for some god-awful reason, and it’s the only power weapon that disappears in such a short amount of time. It DOES need looking into.
