Plasma Launcher Confirmed?

In this interview, there is a question and answer that reads:

At first, this sounds rather like the Sticky Detonator. But alas, surely that is what he is referring to as the “Rocket Pistol”.

So then what could the “Sticky (Plasma Grenade) Detonator” refer to? The Plasma Launcher from Reach perhaps? :slight_smile:

Or maybe you can swap between Frag and Sticky grenade attachments for the Detonator.

haha! This is very likely. That being said, the MLG players also got to play matches on the map Longbow, of which we did not get to see any footage.

Perhaps the Plasma Launcher spawns on that and map and consequently has not be videoed in use.

look around for gameplay footage, you will see this is not the plasma launcher but more a combination of plasma launcher and emp grenade launcher. what I mean by this is, it seems to not have a charge time to shoot, and there is a way to hold it in and not detonate it like the emp launcher. In the video I saw they used it as a trip mine and when the person walked around the corner they detonated it, also they used it to shoot directly on someone and it blew them up instantly. the physical gun looked something like the target locator thing i think, I only watched the vid once, and I am sorry but I have no idea where it is so no link. just look on youtube, there are a bunch of videos, maybe like an ign gameplay or oh I think maybe gameinformer gameplay. or gamersomething I think was the site, it was E3 gameplay I am pretty sure

Dont worry, I know exactly what you’re talking about. That is the Sticky Detonator, which I linked a picture of in the OP.
